Sainsbury’s Peach Melba Granola (Summer Edition) – 197 calories per serving
Sainsbury’s have done it again! Just in time for summer, their all new range now includes a sweet helping of Peach Melba Granola. Each summery bowlful of honey-toasted oats comes flavoured with peaches and raspberries, making it refreshingly sweet and vibrant. How can you say no to a 197 calorie breakfast that tastes like sunshine?
If you tend to switch between being Team Porridge and Team Granola, you can always enjoy the best of both worlds by using peach granola as a porridge topping with a tropical twist. Our Coconut, Banana and Maple Porridge would work so well with a peachy crunch to it (just be sure to adjust the calories accordingly, if you’re counting).
John West On the Go Italian Tuna Pasta Pot Tomato & Herb – 395 calories per pot
Lunchtime is officially sorted with these On the Go Pasta Pots from John West. Available in a variety of flavours, we’ve gone for a classic with tomatoey Italian Tuna. At only 395 calories per pot, this one’s low in calories and low on fuss. Once you’ve peeled back the lid, all that’s left to do is add boiling water and wait for 5 minutes – how’s that for easy peasy?
Speaking of easy peasy slimming-friendly lunches, our BLT Pasta Salad is so filling and flavoursome, you’ll be grateful you made extra to go in your tupperware. With all the flavours of the classic sandwich tossed into a tasty pasta dish, this one will store nicely in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy it. The combination of smoky bacon bits with the creamy, garlic sauce is to die for!
Pringles Passport Italian Style Pepperoni Pizza Crisps – 155 calories per 30g serving
Pepperoni pizza crips – yes, really! The new ‘Passport’ range from Pringles is officially serving up their famously stackable crisps in round-the-world inspired flavours. From Italy to New York style flavours, there’s pepperoni pizza or cheeseburger to choose from next time you’re at the supermarket.
If you’ve got a hankering for pizza-inspired flavours and you don’t fancy popping to the shops, you can always rustle up our super simple Pizza Twists with Pizza Dip. A festival of pizza flavour, these slimming-friendly pastry swirls come with an accompanying homemade pizza dip for the side too! We’ve used classic cheese and tomato for ours, but there’s nothing to stop you getting creative and rolling in more of your favourite pizza toppings. You simply knead to try them!
Oreo Twists Vanilla & Caramel Flavour – 70 calories per Oreo
These caramel-filled Oreo Twists are packed with enough new flavour to twist and shout about! If signature vanilla cream topped with caramel-flavoured filling in a malty cocoa biscuit sandwich is your idea of a dunkin’ good time, these Oreo Twists are for you. Grab a glass of milk and pick up a packet (you can grab raspberry flavour ones too!) for only 70 calories per twist.
We love finding ways to work caramel recipes into a slimming-friendly diet, and our Millionaire’s Shortbread is a prime example of a sweet treat that tastes too good to be true. With a clever caramel drizzle made from sugar-free creamy toffees, we promise even the fussiest eaters won’t be able to tell the difference! Go on, you know you want to…
Strong Roots Seasonal Greens – 81 calories per serving
When you’re looking to cut down on food waste, frozen fruits and vegetables are always a great way to go. Pre-mixed, freezer-friendly veggies like these Strong Roots Seasonal Greens are ideal when you’re after a bit of variety, without the faff of chopping fresh veg before dinner. With spinach, kale, cabbage and parsnip all tossed with chilli and vegan butter, there’s no shortage of flavour or nutrition in this mix.
Cook a portion in the pan or let them crisp up in the oven if you prefer your greens with a crunch – either way, they’ll be delicious! Get plenty of veggies into the whole family by using a handful of Strong Roots in our Broccoli and Mushroom Stir-fry. The leafy greens will be well-hidden in our homemade Chinese-style sauce and seasoning, so it’s perfect for a midweek treat. Bring on the prawn crackers!
ASDA Fiery Chilli & Lime Marinade – 88 calories per 1/4 pack
When you’re in a time pinch, having a tasty, pre-made marinade like this Fiery Chilli & Lime Marinade from Asda is always a winner. Whether you’re building a dish around chicken, red meat, fish or a plant-based alternative like tofu, you can instantly intensify the flavour on your plate with this zesty yet fiery marinade. Don’t forget – you’ll want to leave the flavours to mingle for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours!) for the tastiest results!
Chilli and lime is a dreamy combo no matter where you find it, and we love it best of all in our Chilli and Lime Baked Salmon recipe. A great way to break up the week when you’re after something different from meat-based dishes, this low-calorie fishy dinner is nice and easy to bake in the oven after a long day. With so little fuss involved, you can focus on catching up with the family (just how we like it!).
Aunt Bessie’s Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb – 101 calories per 1/4 pack
Mmm, who doesn’t love a cheesy, crunchy-topped side dish? A really handy addition to your freezer, this Aunt Bessie’s Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb is just the ticket served with gammon steak or spooned onto your next roast dinner. Oh-so-cheesy and speedy to heat up in the microwave, it’ll definitely save you on the washing up of a homemade batch!
There’s no denying that cauliflower and cheese is a match made in heaven, so we couldn’t resist blending the two together in our Cauli Mac ‘n’ Cheese dish. By combining our cauliflower-based cheese sauce with filling macaroni and chopped bacon bits, we’ve kept the calories nice and low without compromising on satisfaction or silky indulgence. It’s a winner at the dinner table every time!
Bliss White Chocolate & Cherry Bakewell Flavour Whip Bars – 97 calories per bar
We love it when a grab-and-go treat can save us a trip to the bakery! If you’re a fan of intense cherry flavours, you need to give these soft-centred, white chocolate covered bars from Bliss a whirl. Each White Chocolate & Cherry Bakewell Flavour Whip Bar is only 97 calories a pop. They’re high in fibre too, so they’re guaranteed to nip your sweet cravings in the bud for the night.
White chocolate with fruit always makes us think of our creamy and light White Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Coulis dessert. We love that you can keep things nice and fresh every time by experimenting with different fruit coulis flavours. Why not blitz a few frozen cherries to make a bakewell-like treat?
Habanero & Red Leicester Turkey Burgers – 176 calories per burger
Whether you enjoy them fresh or stock them up in the freezer until it’s barbecue weather, you can rely on these Habanero & Red Leicester Turkey Burgers to come off the grill bursting with flavour. As if the moreish, fiery Habanero chilli kick wasn’t enough, the oozy, cheesy Red Leicester makes every bite so flipping tasty! We can practically hear the side of Potato Wedges crisping up in the oven…
A great way to save on calories versus beef, our homemade version of Turkey Burgers also comes laden with flavour. We’ve used a few surprise ingredients, including aubergine and marmite, to get the most from our turkey mince mixture. Trust us and go with it – they’re SO good!
Hunter’s Chicken Kebabs with BBQ Sauce – 419 calories per skewer
It’s no secret that we can’t resist a bit of Hunter’s Chicken! From pasta bake through to lasagne, we love a bit of cheesy, bacon-wrapped deliciousness in our house (slimming friendly, of course!). There’s no way we could walk past these Hunter’s Chicken Kebabs with BBQ Sauce in the supermarket aisle. We’re talking chicken fillets wrapped in smoky, streaky bacon with oozy cheddar and a rich BBQ sauce on a skewer. How’s that for a BBQ treat?
Wrap them in foil and let the grill do all the work for you – just be sure to keep turning them so they cook nice and evenly! If you love a comfort-filled dinner, you’ll be obsessed with our Hunter’s Chicken Pasta Bake. By using a few clever low-calorie swaps, we’ve managed to keep things way lighter than the pub grub alternative, at just 298 calories per serving. What a winner!
Hunter’s Chicken Kebabs with BBQ Sauce are available from Iceland, priced at £5.00 for a pack of 2.
