These Syn Free Melt-in-the-middle Bacon Cheese Burgers do require usage of your Healthy B and part of your Healthy A option, but these could be synned if you prefer.

Serve with your favourite Slimming World chips or wedges and a hearty salad for a delicious fake-away meal. Or just the salad if you’re following Extra Easy SP!

You could also add home made Syn free Ketchup or BBQ Sauce but I decided just to Syn some from the bottle.

  1. Add half a red onion to your food processor and blitz.
  2. Add your lean mince (-5% fat) and the salt, pepper, garlic powder, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 beef stock cube, soy sauce and the egg. Give it a whizz until all the ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Grab a big handful of the mixture and begin to shape it around a babybel. Make sure there are no cracks or gaps- the melty goodness will want to escape!
  4. Heat a large non-stick frying pan and spray liberally with Fry Light. Add your burgers and cook gently- you want them to be cooked through without being burnt on the outside! (Or, get the BBQ on and get grilling!)
  5. Remove the visible fat from the bacon and grill.
  6. Assemble your burger in a wholemeal roll- remember to check the app for Healthy B options!

    Layer of mince at the bottom, babybelxin the middle and then layer mince over the top and sices.
    Perfect burger and no escaping meltiness 🖒

  2. Hi there, is it possible to cook these in the oven or grill them in the oven? If so how long do you reckon? 😊

      Cooking them in a pan keeps the burgers moist, but cooking in the oven will dry them out. Stick to the pan if you can!

  3. Just finished eating these. Didn’t use the cheese, Just made them as burgers. I can honestly say they were the tastiest burgers I have tasted. Scrumptious.

  4. Currently cooking one of these in the oven 🍔 I cook them for about 25 mins on 190 degrees & have never had any issues cooking that way, love your recipes ladies, thank you so much for inspiring myself & many others 👏🏻
