You could use a burger press to make these Syn Free Tex Mex Burgers – it’s great if you want to make them and freeze before cooking!

We’ve used Chipotle Chilli Flakes in this Syn Free Tex Mex Burgers recipe. You can pick these up from Asda, or online from Amazon! They really have the most incredible flavour!

We’ve made a recent discovery of some amazing and interesting dried chilli flakes at Asda!

We’ve used the Chipotle flakes in this recipe, which adds an amazing smokiness to the burgers – but they also do a whole heap of others, such as Birdseye (watch out, these will set your mouth on fire!) and Habanero.

  1. Can’t believe I am the first to comment on these. These burgers are so delicious. They knock all other home made burgers out of the competition for flavour. Just about to make them tonight after previously only having them on the bbq in the summer. Need a little spice on a cold evening. Real deep flavours due to the chipotle spices. Cool on a low heat for longer to ensure they cook all the way through. I under cooked some once and they were cold in the middle. Not good.

  2. These burger deserve more comments, made them last night for me and the other half and I think they have been the second best burgers I have made (second to PON KFC fake away burgers) I couldn’t find the Chipotle Chilli Flakes at Asda as I think they sold out so gave the Habanero ones a go and with a bit of sauce and cheese they didn’t seem overly spicy as apposed to flavourful.
I wanted to make a few more burgers as i tend to like to freeze some for a rainy day and when i cba cooking and i input in the site to serve for 8 and i actually came out with 10 burgers with the burger press i use.
Safe to say ill be making them again, kep up the good work PON!!

  3. These are incredible I’ve just finished one for dinner along with wedges and I made a tomato and chili dip using quark chilli but of lemon juice and some purée.

The burgers are fantastic I chargrilled my peppers and tomatoes before putting them in the burger deeee lish

    Thanks

  4. Just made these burgers and I can honestly say they are the best burgers I have ever made. I made extra so I could take for lunch and I can’t wait to eat another one tomorrow. I am loving the weight loss since finding your recipes and it actually makes me stick to it. I am just about to buy your cook book 🙂
