This Pumpkin Spiced Latte is the perfect way to welcome autumn and our version is low in calories and great if you’re following a plan like Weight Watchers.

We love all things pumpkin spiced, but the lattes that you can buy in high street coffee shops are often packed full of calories and sugar – and don’t forget about the price!

An added bonus of making your own Pumpkin Spiced Latte is that you can control everything about it; the strength of the coffee, the sweetness, the amount of pumpkin and the amount of mixed spice. Not to mention that if you make it this way, you’re actually using vegetables in your drink!

This recipe is super quick and really easy – the perfect treat for an autumn day!

How do you know when your Pumpkin Spiced Latte is ready?

You should mix your spiced pumpkin puree with your milk until it’s well mixed.

Whether you use a microwave or a milk steamer, you’ll need to make sure that your milk, puree and sweetener mix has a good froth on the top before you add the coffee.

Standard advice here in the UK is to cook food until it has reached 70°C and stayed at that temperature for 2 minutes. This is to keep your family safe.

How long can you keep this Pumpkin Spiced Latte in the fridge?

You can store your spiced pumpkin puree in the fridge for about a week in a container with a lid.

Can I freeze this Pumpkin Spiced Latte?

No, we don’t recommend freezing this recipe.

How do I reheat this Pumpkin Spiced Latte?

Simply add your stored puree to the milk and then heat as specified in the cooking instructions.

I don’t have a microwave, is there another way to make the puree?

We’ve not tried it, but you could do it in a pan on the stove. You would need to put the pumpkin in the pan with a few tbsp of water and cook it until the pumpkin is starting to become mushy. As we’ve not tested it we can’t guarantee the results or the cooking times. It will be a case of trial and error I’m afraid.

I have 3 large pumpkins (only one carved on Halloween) my 3 teens wanted them, I ended up carving one. I’ve pureed the flesh so it’s great to see these pumpkin recipes. Going to make the pumpkin cake for taster tomorrow. Can’t wait to try the spiced pumpkin latte – going on amazon now to get a milk frother lol
