Syrupy Cinnamon Figs With Greek Yoghurt - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff to know in the blurb!

Figs are such an underrated fruit, with a unique taste and sweetness that make them an ideal dessert fruit. We’ve lightly cooked them in a matter of minutes, resulting in a deliciously sticky and lightly spiced pud that feels super indulgent, but is low in calories!

We’ve served alongside yoghurt with a twist: a dollop of maple syrup elevates the flavour without the need for full fat double cream. You can rustle this dish up in only ten minutes, making it perfect for a quick after-dinner pudding or mid-afternoon treat.

You could even try this with our slimming-friendly custard for a warming and hearty alternative to yogurt, just be sure to adjust any nutritional info accordingly.

What diets are these Syrupy Cinnamon Figs with Greek Yoghurt suitable for?

These Syrupy Cinnamon Figs with Greek Yoghurt are suitable for gluten free and dairy free diets.

Please make sure to double or triple check all of your ingredients if you’re cooking for people with allergies.

Do you need any special ingredients to make Syrupy Cinnamon Figs with Greek Yoghurt?

Nope! All of the ingredients, including fresh figs and maple syrup, can be easily found at larger supermarkets.

We’ve made this recipe using a low fat yoghurt instead of fat free as we think it adds a richness to the final dish. If it fits your diet plan better you can use a fat free thick Greek yoghurt which will also reduce the calories a little!
