Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best! This Mango and Raspberry Ice Cream contains only four ingredients and takes just 10 minutes of preparation. You’ll end up with a sweet, fruity frozen dessert that’s naturally dairy and gluten free.
By using frozen fruit, there’s no waiting around or constantly stirring the tub. Make sure you use very ripe bananas with spotty skin, as they’ll be sweeter and softer. It’s just like restaurant style gelato but budget friendly and suitable for those following slimming plans.
We’ve used white granulated sweetener in the raspberry sauce which is the same size and weight as sugar: find out more about granulated sweetener in our handy guide!

Could I make raspberry and Banana ice cream same way instead of sauce?
SharonTuesday 12th July 2022
Hi Jennifer, that sounds like a great idea! We haven’t tested this but just blitz the frozen raspberries and bananas together until thick and creamy then freeze. You may find you need to add a little sweetener, sugar or honey depending on your taste. Enjoy your ice cream!

Could you use another frozen fruit other than bananas? I hate bananas!
HollyTuesday 28th June 2022
Hey Kerry, the bananas when frozen and blitzed are what create the ice cream type dessert so unfortunately the bananas are essential. We do have a recipe for Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen Yoghurt if you are looking for a frozen dessert it might be worth a try!

This is luxurious!!! Just whizzed it up now. Not done the raspberry sauce yet. The mango and banana combination is heavenly. I may add some fresh ginger to it! Thank you

I made this this evening…I didn’t do the Raspberry sauce because I wanted to eat it tonight but I had a couple of Passion fruit to use up so I put those in. Delicious
