How many calories are in these Balsamic Mushrooms?

There are 57 calories in each portion of these Balsamic Mushrooms, which means it falls into our Everyday Light category. 

These Balsamic Mushrooms are perfect if you’re following a calorie controlled diet, and they fit in well with any one of the major diet plans such as Weight Watchers.

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

In a small mixing bowl add the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey and garlic and stir to combine.

Add the mushrooms to a roasting tin and pour over the balsamic mixture and toss the mushrooms to coat.

Place into the oven for 40 minutes. Toss the mushrooms halfway through to coat in the balsamic mixture.

Step 5

Add the chopped parsley and cook for another 5 minutes. The mushrooms should be coated in the balsamic glaze.

How do you know when Balsamic Mushrooms is cooked?

You’ll need to cook these Balsamic Mushrooms for around 45 minutes or until the mushrooms are fully coated in the glaze and soft all the way through. 

Here in the UK, the standard advice is to cook food until it has reached 70°C and maintained that temperature for 2 minutes. This is to keep you and your family safe!

Once you’ve put this dish out, ideally you should eat it within 4 hours.

If you have any leftovers, leave them to cool completely and then make sure to refrigerate in a container with a lid.

How do I reheat Balsamic Mushrooms?

From chilled: Place in a microwave proof container with loosely fitting lid and heat for 3-5 minutes until piping hot.

From frozen: Allow to defrost in the fridge, and reheat covered in the microwave for 3-5 minutes until piping hot.

Ingredients

  • 600 g button mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves peeled and crushed
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 g fresh parsley chopped
