Can you cook these in the air fryer?
LisaSunday 24th January 2021
Hi Victoria. We’ve not cooked it in an airfryer ourselves, but can’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work. Have a look at your manual to help you convert cooking times and temperatures.

Anyone got any tips for how I can stop the topping coming off the chicken when I turn it over!?! It just ends up stuck to the tray so I have to kid of scrape it off and plonk it back on. It tastes great so I really want to be able to make it properly!!
HollyFriday 11th September 2020
Hi Polly, sorry to hear you are having a bit of trouble with the KFC Zinger Burger. I’ve found lining the tray with greaseproof to help with this one and also make sure you have fully coated the chicken breast in the beaten egg before you try to add the topping. You could also try pouring the topping onto a clean plate and dip the chicken breast into the mix after the egg which should also help it stick. Hope that helps!

How long do you cook/reheat for, once cooked/frozen & defrosted?
HollyTuesday 8th September 2020
Hi Denise, Allow to fully defrost before reheating
Microwave: Place in a microwave proof container with loosely fitting lid and heat for 4-7 minutes until piping hot.
Oven: Place on a baking tray and place into the middle of an oven preheated to 180°C for around 10 minutes, until piping hot throughout.

Do I need to use chili heat wave Doritos or can I just use normal Doritos will it change the flavor and the spiciness of it? Is that a contributing factor for the taste of the zinger or is it not that serious I’m in the US so I can’t get the chili heat wave Doritos that’s why I ask
HollyThursday 3rd September 2020
Hey Rheesa, you can use any flavour of Doritos to make the KFC Zinger Burger some members of our facebook community add extra chilli powder to the mix so that might add a little extra heat to the Dorito topping. You may also need to alter the calories accordingly have a look at this guide which shows you how we work out our nutritional information https://pinchofnom.com/how-to-work-out-calories-and-points-in-a-recipe/

LisaMonday 20th July 2020
Hi Jacques. We’ve not tried it with quorn fillets. You may have to work a little harder to get a good coating. Please let us know how it goes if you decide to try it.

Made these for the first time tonight glad to say my daughter who’s a very fussy eater really enjoyed them…only downside was some of the coating got stuck to my pan even though I throughly sprayed them.
Sharon FitzpatrickWednesday 20th May 2020
Hi Chez, we’re so pleased to hear that your daughter enjoyed this recipe. Using a non stick tray would help to stop the coating from sticking or you could line the tray with non stick baking paper. Hope this helps and thanks for getting in touch.

This is honestly one of the best things I have ever tasted. So versatile, filling and full of flavour. Definitely making this again????
SherylFriday 10th May 2019
Hi,
I made these this eve, and although lovely I found the topping to be really soggy? Any suggestions on what I have done wrong 🙁
Love this recipe and so easy to make so would love to get it right!
Thanks x
Emma TMonday 3rd June 2019
Hi Sheryl,
It sounds like your oven might not have been hot enough. If you place them on some baking paper on the baking tray, this can help to get them crispy too – Hope that helps!
Diane garciaFriday 22nd February 2019
Made these for the first time tonight and have to say both hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed them and would definetly make them again ????
LisaWednesday 13th February 2019
how can you reheat this chicken and keep the coating crispy?
Les StrachanSunday 20th January 2019
Can these be frozen after they are cooked?
KatieFriday 4th January 2019
My hubby has an egg allergy, is there an alternative I can use?
EileenSunday 11th November 2018
I made these last night and my family loved them.. I added 2 tsps of chilli powder because my family like it with a bit more spice. I didn’t have onion and garlic granules so I finely chopped 1/2 medium onion and crushed 3 garlic cloves – it was lovely and didn’t affect the coating being applied or staying on.
I am vegetarian so tried the coating on a tofu burger that I made and it worked well & tasted delicious. It was so nice that the chicken and tofu burger will be making appearance on our family Christmas eve menu. Thanks for making it available. x
GinaTuesday 2nd October 2018
