Ready to get the party started? All it takes is a jug of this Pink Sangria straight from the fridge. Fresh and fruity, we’ve taken our favourite summer drink and given it a slimming-friendly makeover to create this lighter version of the wine-based beverage.

We’ve used rose wine and Peach Schnapps to make this summery tipple, and we’ve loaded the jug with juicy oranges and peaches for an extra fruity twist.

Topping up the Sangria with a little bit of sparkling water helps to keep the calories down, so you can sip on a glass (or two) and still stay on your slimming plan. Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours and then pour over ice to serve!

This is ideal for a summer barbecue or garden party, or serving alongside your favourite Spanish-inspired tapas dishes. Cheers!

Step 1

Place the fruit in a 1.5 litre jug. Pour in the peach schnapps and wine and stir well. Cover and place in the fridge to chill for up to 2 hours, letting all those fruity flavours mingle together. We wouldn’t recommend leaving any longer than this as the fruit can start to get mushy.

Step 2

Taste a spoonful and add some sweetener or sugar if you think it needs it. This will depend on how sweet your wine is, and your personal preference. We used a medium dry Pinot Grigio rose and added 1 tbsp of sweetener, but you can use more or less or omit the sweetener altogether if you prefer.

Step 3

When ready to serve, top up with the sparkling water.

This Pink Sangria will taste best when it’s ice cold. We’d recommend leaving it in the fridge for up to 2 hours so that all the flavours can really mingle together. Be careful not to leave it much longer than this – all the fruit will start to get mushy if it’s left too long.

How long can you keep Pink Sangria in the fridge?

This recipe tastes best when it’s freshly made. Chill your Pink Sangria in the fridge for up to 2 hours before serving.

Can I freeze Pink Sangria?

This recipe is not suitable for freezing but it doesn’t take long to make a fresh batch.
