There’s no denying that Henderson’s relish is a beloved, essential ingredient for many recipes, including our Mushroom and Rarebit Muffins. Once the mushrooms and onions have softened in the frying pan, add a splash to simmer with the grated cheese, mustard powder and egg yolk that makes up our irresistible melty topping.

Whether you tuck into them for breakfast or as a quick light lunch, they’re perfect when you’ve got a hankering for a savoury bite. At 350 calories per cheesy-topped muffin, they won’t take you off track either.

Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks

The tangy, sticky sauce on our Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks wouldn’t be the same without a dash of Hendo’s in the mix. You only need to add a tablespoon of Yorkshire’s favourite relish to give our homemade sweet-yet-spicy honey and hot sauce glaze an umami punch. 

To coat your drumsticks in sauce, it’s a good idea to use a pastry brush. It’s easy, quick and far cleaner than spooning it on.

Once cooked and cooled, these drumsticks can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven if you’re making them ahead of time. Ideal to impress at barbecues, picnics and buffets, they’re just as yummy served cold!

Vegan Nuggets

A bite that anyone can tuck into, these Vegan Nuggets will disappear in minutes once you’ve put them out. To make them perfect for vegan diets, we’ve skipped the meat and blitzed together our nutritious filling with beans, veggies and store-cupboard spices.

You can’t have nuggets without a dip! With Sriracha, maple syrup and a splash of Hendo’s to give the sweet-and-spicy flavours a lift, our moreish home-style sauce will keep you coming back for more.

Chicken Caesar Pasta

An indulgent, creamy lunch or dinner, our Chicken Caesar Pasta will always leave you full and satisfied. Inspired by the world-famous Caesar salad dressing, we’ve kept things tangy with lemon juice, mustard powder and Henderson’s relish in our garlicky cream sauce.

This one only takes 20 minutes to rustle up, but you can make it even quicker by preparing your tender chicken breasts and lean bacon medallions in advance.

Toss in the ciabatta cube ‘croutons’ and sprinkle with Parmesan right before serving – it almost tastes too good to be slimming friendly!

Chilli Stuffed Sweet Potato Skins

Have you ever seen sweet potatoes look tastier than this? A scrummy change from rice or a jacket spud, these Chilli Stuffed Sweet Potato Skins are a heavenly way to get your fix of chilli con carne.

By browning your mince with Henderson’s relish, you can unlock oodles of savoury goodness and keep your dish gluten-free (it’ll also be suitable for vegetarian diets if you use Quorn mince!).

If you’re looking to turn these gooey, cheese-topped potatoes into a feast, try them with Mexican-style sides like corn on the cob or slaw.

Burrito Burgers

The best of two worlds, these Mexican-inspired Burrito Burgers are always an instant hit. Like all the best fakeaway feasts, these fully-loaded buns are extremely messy to eat – but they’re so worth it!

You won’t find any hidden nasties in our burger patties. Put them together yourself with lean beef, paprika, ground coriander and chilli powder to your liking. Add a glug or two of Henderson’s relish before you mix it all together to set your spices alight.

We think they’re best served freshly-flipped from the barbecue in summer, with a side of Honey and Lime Pork Nachos

A list of Henderson’s relish recipes would not be complete without a pie or two. When you’re on the lookout for wholesome midweek comfort food, our Cheese Onion and Potato Pie will sort you right out. 

To keep things far lower in calories than you’d expect, we’ve said goodbye to calorie-laden shortcrust pastry and used a crispy topping of ready-rolled filo instead.

Since Hendo’s sauce is vegetarian, you’re good to add a splash to maximise the punchiness of your mustard-y filling without excluding any full-time veggies at the table.

Cowboy Pie

We’ve rounded up the best family-favourite flavours for our Cowboy Pie. One of those dishes that cleans out the kitchen cupboards, we’ve used budget-friendly tins of beans, chopped tomatoes and vegetables to guarantee that every portion is extra filling.

A tomatoey medley of barbecue seasoning, smoked paprika, mustard powder and balsamic vinegar, we’ve given our sauce a bit more ‘oomph’ with a dash of Hendo’s.

Simmer your sausages until they’re infused with cowboy-style flavours and bake in the oven with fluffy, golden mashed potatoes on top.

A hearty dish that’ll warm you up on chilly evenings, we’ve lowered the calories in this potato-topped wonder by swapping out full-fat mince for Heck Chicken Italia sausages.

As if Marmite isn’t enough, tip a tablespoon of Henderson’s into the pot to double up on rich, umami deliciousness. 

For a few extra calories, we’d never say no to a sprinkling of reduced-fat Cheddar cheese on top!
