Being an awkward vegetarian, I often walk into the Scandinavian furniture shop that we daren’t set foot in at the weekend, yearning for meatballs and whatever lovely sauce comes with it.
But I can’t. So I get on, buy a toilet brush, four candles and a tree and head on home. I could have also bought some sauces to try and make my own version of the dish, a better way of achieving this, however, is to make a very low syn alternative, using my healthy extra allowance of dairy.
This is a super simple dish to prepare and can be coupled with pasta, mash, or in this case, chunky chips, it’s very adaptable!
I’ve opted to use vegetarian meatballs, but you can obviously use proper meatballs instead. A few ingredients and only a little bit of time can produce a properly tasty low syn Slimming World meal. Enjoy!
