These Low Syn Spiced Plum Puffs are a perfect treat, and are a great addition to any party.
With Christmas ever looming, I love all the sweet treats, but they’re rarely very friendly when following the Slimming World plan. Luckily, we don’t have to go without!
You can use any fruit for these little bites – nectarines or apples would also work well but you may need to adjust the cooking times as necessary.
For these Low Syn Spiced Plum Puffs you will need….

First you’ll need a decent rolling pin, to make sure the pastry is an even thickness. We use one of these nifty rolling pins from Joseph Joseph, which you can find on Amazon
You’ll also need a pastry cutter. We used a star shaped one, and you can get a a set on Amazon. You can make these Low Syn Spiced Plum Puffs as big or as small as you want (we got 16 out of the recipe) just be sure to adjust the syns accordingly.
Synning the sweetener
As you will probably know Slimming World have brought out some new recommendations regarding the syn value of granulated sweeteners. Slimming World have confirmed what this change means.
Where there is 1 tbsp or more being used per serving they recommend members count 0.5 Syn per tbsp. If using smaller amounts, like a pinch or teaspoon, there’s no need to worry about Syns at all.
The recipe for these Low Syn Spiced Plum Puffs uses 1 tablespoon of sweetener and is divided into 16 portions. That mans there’s no need to add any syns on for the sweetener itself, unless you are going to eat the whole lot (which would work out at 16 syns anyway, even before you add the 0.5 syns on for the Sukrin Gold)
