    1. Hi Louise
The recipe uses 80g Primula Light (HEa is 75g) so you’re only getting half your HEa amount, as it makes 2 portions.
The lighter cheddar is 40g for HEa. The recipe uses 20g, so in effect, you’re only using 10g per portion, so it’s easier to syn it than try to work out a quarter HEa allowance. Hope that makes sense.

  1. hi ya,

the ingredients list says 1/2 bag of pasta, how big is the bag ?

I ask as I tend to by really big bags of pasta to keep costs down.

    Cheers Paul

    1. Hi Paul
Apologies, it’s one of our older recipes which needs updating!
A standard bag of pasta is approx 500g, so the half bag listed in the recipe would be 250g of dried uncooked pasta.
      🙂

  2. Can you check the syn value? I get 6.5 for the primula and 3 for the lighter cheese. Based on it making 2 portions shouldn’t it be 5 syns each rather than 1.5?

    1. Hi Michelle
      In the recipe blurb we state the following;

‘If you count the Primula in this recipe as a half your Healthy Extra A, and syn the lighter cheese – then it works out at just 1.5 syns per portion, which for cheesy pasta is well worth it in our opinion!
You could always double the Primula to use all of your A if you want it extra cheesy.’

Hope this answers your query! 🙂

  3. Hi, When I try to print this, I get a message from Windows Defender that the website has been reported as unsafe and maybe containing phishing threats. Is this right?

    1. Hi Sarah
This was flagged as a “false positive” message – we’ve raised it as an issue several times with Microsoft but they are as yet to do anything about rectifying the issue. The website is safe – you can either choose to ignore the warning and continue to print (when available) or use a different internet browser such as Chrome where you will not receive this message 😊

  4. I think this is a favourite of mine!! I’m such a fussy eater but to make this extra yummy! I add Tuna chunks in brine (free) plus sweetcorn before putting in the oven. Soooo yummy and extra filling. If you like tuna give it a go guys you can thank me later 😛

    1. Hi Anita
Quark won’t really give the right cheesy flavour and texture in this recipe. I’d stick with the Primula for best results!
