Air Fryer Keftedes (Cypriot-Style Meatballs)
Keftedes are a Cypriot meatball. Traditionally, they’re deep-fried to make them crisp and brown – but to keep the calories down, we’ve just brushed them with olive oil and cooked them in a non-traditional air fryer! Made from veal, pork, or sometimes half pork, half beef, they’re usually rugby-ball shaped (but we won’t be inspecting yours, don’t worry!). We’ve gone for extra-lean pork to keep the calories down even more. Red onions and garlic add even more flavour, while grated potato creates a moist and fluffy texture.

Hints & Tips
Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.
If the keftedes feel like they have stuck to the basket at the halfway point, don’t struggle to flip them as you will risk them falling apart. Leave them until the end of cooking time and carefully remove from the basket with a palette knife or fish slice.
