When you’re after a quick, tasty way to add some greens to your dinner, these crispy, Cajun-spiced beans are just the ticket. We love any excuse to spice things up a bit, which is why we’ve added a kick of Cajun-inspired heat to this veggie side!

We’ve kept the spice level relatively mild, but you can always ramp up the heat by adding more finely chopped fresh red chilli if you like. It’s not all about fiery flavours, either! We’ve added even more depth to our seasoning with onions, garlic and smoky bacon pieces.

The best part about this recipe is you can apply it to other flavour blends too. Add a twist by swapping out the Cajun seasoning for a fajita or peri-peri blend, whichever best suits your main dish!

What diets are these Cajun Style Green Beans suitable for?

This Cajun Style Green Beans recipe is suitable for gluten-free and dairy-free diets.

It can be made vegetarian and vegan as long as you swap out the following ingredients for vegetarian and versions, or leave them out altogether;

  • Smoked bacon medallions

Please make sure to double or triple check all of your ingredients if you’re cooking for people with allergies.
