A Chocolate Mousse you can enjoy when counting calories or following plans like Weight Watchers? This one is an absolute winner and one of our favourite light puddings!

We came up with this diet friendly Chocolate Mousse recipe to satisfy those all-too-regular chocolate cravings. We really like this recipe as it doesn’t taste artificial and has a decent amount of chocolate flavour. It’s quick, easy and can be paired with a good portion of fruit (strawberries and raspberries would be our choice), or a biscuit/waffle-based sidekick.

You will only need five ingredients for this Chocolate Mousse recipe and the prep time is just 10 minutes – so simple!

Most of the major supermarkets now stock Sweet Freedom Choc Shot, and of course you can buy it in bulk at Amazon. We go through a fair bit of it every month, it really is delicious!

How many Calories are in this Chocolate Mousse?

There are 114 Calories per portion in this Chocolate Mousse, which means it falls into our Everyday Light category.

This Chocolate Mousse is perfect if you’re following a calorie controlled diet, and fits well with any one of the major diet plans such as Weight Watchers.

As a guide, an average man needs around 2,500kcal (10,500kJ) a day to maintain a healthy body weight. For an average woman, that figure is around 2,000kcal (8,400kJ) a day. Step 1

In a large bowl whisk the Jell-o Sugar free pudding and the milk for 3 minutes.

Step 2

Add in the 3tbsp of quark and 1tsp of Sweet Freedom Choc Shot and whisk for a further 2 minutes.

Step 3

Split the mixture into 4 portions (roughly 163g a portion).

Step 4

Time to fill the glasses! Alternate layers of chocolate mousse and the sliced strawberries. We use roughly 5 strawberries per glass.

Step 5

Place the glasses into the fridge for an hour – this will help the mixture set.

Step 6

When ready to serve remove from fridge, and garnish with a strawberry! If you want to make it into more of a deconstructed cheesecake, sprinkle some biscuit crumbs on the top.

  • 1 punnet fresh strawberries sliced
  • 3 tbsp quark or fat free soft cheese
  • 1 tsp Sweet Freedom Choc Shot
  • 1 packet Jell-O Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding
  • 500 ml skimmed milk
