In this week’s Weekly Pinch of Shopping, we’ve found some protein-packed products that would kick off any BBQ with a bang! From spicy chorizo kebabs to a chargrilled veggie chicken, we’ve got options for everyone. 

Ran out of BBQ sauce for your burgers? Don’t worry, we’ve found mayonnaise that packs a punch! We think it would work wonderfully in sandwiches or even as a spicy dip. As the weather gets warmer, we’ve got some fun and fruity freeze pops as the ultimate refreshing treat. Perfect for outdoor gatherings or an after dinner dessert!

Fancy some indulgent chocolate orange buttons, but giant versions? YES please! They’ll taste delicious on their own or as decoration on top of some of our favourite puds. We’ve also found some sweet and salty caramel peanut butter that would work SO well melted on top of the mini spongy pancakes on our list. 

If you’d prefer something savoury, you won’t want to miss the flavoured popcorn with an exciting twist…

We also have a brand new Aldi Super 6 this week. Aldi discounts a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables every fortnight, so we give you the rundown and inspiration to make the most of these budget ingredients.

We love kebabs cooked on the BBQ or simply grilled and served with a fresh salad. These Morrisons Chicken and Chorizo Kebabs take out all of the fuss and come pre-assembled!

No need to slice the meat, chorizo or fresh red pepper, these kebabs are ready-to-go. You can cook them in the oven or on the BBQ depending on what suits you. We especially like them served as part of a summer buffet with Seekh Kebabs and a bowl of Potato Salad.

Mayonnaise with a kick! This hot and spicy Heinz Vegan Seriously Good Chilli Mayonnaise can be used in so many ways. From spreading on sandwiches to using as a dip for pizza crusts, we love the strong and creamy flavour. At only 89 calories per serving, we’ll be keeping a bottle of this in the cupboard to easily ‘spice up’ lunchtimes.

It’s also vegan, gluten free and free from artificial flavours and colours so it’s suitable for those following specific diets. 

We’ll be drizzling some over our Homemade Oven Chips as a change from ketchup!

We’ve spotted Heinz Vegan Seriously Good Chilli Mayonnaise in most supermarkets for £2 per bottle.

This one’s for the chocolate lovers! These brand new Cadbury Dairy Milk Orange Giant Buttons are just the thing when you need to satisfy your sweet craving. Infused with real orange oil, this indulgent milk chocolate adds a zesty twist to the classic Dairy Milk flavour.

These buttons really are giant, so you may find you only need a little bit for that melt-in-the-mouth chocolate experience, but you can also use them in other ways. Why not try snapping in half and popping on top of a Chocolate Mud Pie as decoration?

Pancakes are one of our favourite breakfasts, and these M&S Mini Pancakes are no exception! These light and fluffy pancakes are small and full of flavour!

It couldn’t be simpler to cook these mini pancakes too. For steaming hot, delicious pancakes, simply pop in the microwave for less than 30 seconds! At only 112 calories, you could serve four of these pancakes with your favourite fruit and a drizzle of low sugar syrup. 

Fancy something a little more indulgent? Try adding a dollop of salted caramel peanut butter from further down in this article!

These Cajun style mini fillets are perfectly cooked with a chargrilled edge, perfect for slicing up in sandwiches and wraps or serving with your favourite sides. We’ve also seen these fillets in ‘pastrami’ and ‘kick of tikka’ flavours too.

We’re huge fans of peanut butter because it’s high in protein and a great way of adding lots of flavour and texture! Sun Pat Extra Salted Caramel Crunchy Peanut Butter is a fab natural source of protein and healthy fats, and at 89% peanuts, thisis one of our favourites.

It’s also high in fibre for a healthy digestive system, but tastes indulgent with a rich salted caramel flavour. You could spread it on toast or serve a dollop with veggie crudites like you would with standard crunchy peanut butter. We also think it really stands out when used in desserts!
