ASDA Italian Style Tomato & Basil – 74 calories per 1/2 pot
When you’re looking to rustle up a delicious last minute dinner, this ASDA Italian Style Tomato & Basil pasta sauce is heaven sent. With a rich, tomatoey base and a blend of Italian-style herbs, each pot is low in salt and calories (only 74 per serving!).
Microwaved or heated through in a saucepan, pair it with your favourite pasta type for an effortless midweek meal. Spicier and slightly higher in calories (94 per pot), there’s an Italian-style Arrabiata sauce in the same range that you can pick up from the Asda shelves too.
There’s no denying that tomato and basil is a classic combination of Italian-inspired flavours, so teaming them up for our Tomato and Basil Chicken was a no-brainer.
With just 4 ingredients, low-calorie spray oil and a dash of salt and pepper, you can have this budget-friendly dinner oven-baked and on the table in under half an hour.
That’s what we call a winner winner chicken dinner!

Harvest Morn Protein Oats Golden Syrup Flavour – 271 calories per pot
Nothing warms us up quite like a bowlful of porridge. Luckily Aldi have added these Protein Oats from Harvest Morn to their shelves just in time for chillier mornings. Whether you grab a pot in chocolate or golden syrup flavour, they’re guaranteed to be deliciously sweet and leave you feeling full thanks to their high protein content.
Simply add water, wait a few minutes and stir until your oats are good to go (leave them to stand for longer, if you’d prefer a creamier texture!).
Creating a slimming-friendly breakfast from scratch doesn’t have to take lots of effort. Our Cinnamon Roll Baked Oats are only 382 calories per fuss-free bake. Topped with a sticky reduced-sugar maple syrup drizzle, they’re so cosy and moreish.
It’s well worth preparing a batch the night before for brekkie, or taking muffin-sized bites on-the-go to snack on. Ideal!

Cathedral City Dairy Free Large Slices – 89 calories per slice
Have you spotted these Cathedral City Dairy Free Large Slices on the supermarket shelves yet? Just as satisfyingly sharp and creamy as dairy-based mild cheese, you’d never be able to guess it’s made with all plant-based ingredients.
While we’ve gone for burger and sandwich-friendly large slices, you can also grab vegan Cathedral City pre-grated or in a full block – why not choose the based one based on your meal plan for the week (our Family Meal Planner can help you with that!).
We know these plant-based cheese slices would work a treat melting in the middle of our Caramelised Onion Cheese Toasties. An epic vegetarian lunchtime option, they give caramelised onion, spinach and mushroom an irresistible crunch.

An underrated flavour, we always have to try rhubarb-based goodies when we spot them. These Brooklea Active yoghurt pots we found in Aldi are a creamy, rhubarb-infused treat, and they’re nice and easy to store in the fridge as a snack or light dessert option.
Each gut-friendly pot comes in at just 114 calories too, so it’s well worth giving them a whirl!
Speaking of yoghurt, our Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen Yoghurt is a simple sweet treat you can prepare in a flash. Inspired by strawberry cheesecake flavours, we’ve made every mouthful extra special by adding an irresistible strawberry puree drizzle.
Once you’ve tried an oh-so-creamy, fruity spoonful, you’ll never believe it’s only 152 calories per bowlful. It’s to die for!

Morrisons Katsu Whitefish Goujons – 220 calories per 1/2 pack
Take a break from meat with these super convenient Katsu Whitefish Goujons from Morrisons. Coated in moreish, crispy breadcrumbs and filled with fragrant Katsu flavouring, all that’s left to do is finish off your plateful with freshly-steamed veggies, fluffy new potatoes or rice.
With 5 ingredients and a spritz or two of low-calorie cooking spray, you can have our satisfyingly chunky Fish Fingers ready in less than half an hour. With a breaded, seasoned coating that’s baked in the oven (or the air fryer!) until golden and crisp, even the fussiest eaters won’t be able to tell these are a slimming-friendly alternative.
Bring on the chips and mushy peas!

Morrisons Chicken Tikka Diced Breast – 205 calories per 1/2 pack
Ideal for a quick and easy midweek dinner, this Chicken Tikka Diced Breast from Morrisons is a tasty time-saver The diced chicken breast pieces come pre-marinated in a mildly-spiced tikka-style blend, so there’s no need to get your hands dirty with a homemade seasoning.
Add the chicken pieces to the pan with crunchy leftover veggies for a thrifty midweek stir-fry, or serve them on skewers for a Chicken Tikka Kebab night.

A savoury treat you can nibble on in front of the telly, these Pringles Multigrain will bring a moreish, savoury crunch for 157 calories per handful. Lower in salt by 25% compared to average crisps, the fiery chilli seasoning adds a new depth of flavour.
We’ve gone for the Sour Cream and Chilli tube, but you can take home Pringles Multigrain in BBQ Sauce or Roast Chicken and Rosemary too.
Did someone say roast chicken? Roast dinner season is officially here, and we can’t think of a more convenient way to kick things off than with our speedy 20 Minute Whole Chicken.
To add flavour to our pressure cooker chicken, we’ve cooked it on a bed of garlicky onions, potatoes, celery and carrots. The results are fall-off-the-fork tender, with an irresistible juiciness locked in!

Put the kettle on! Mr Kipling has done it again with these irresistible Double Chocolate Gooey Brownie Bites. Rich and gooey in the middle, each scrumptious brownie bite comes coated in a layer of velvety milk chocolate.
If you’re feeling extra-indulgent, you can grab them in melt-in-the-middle salted caramel too (they’re slightly higher in calories at 71 per bite!).
Just imagine how delicious they’ll be with a hot cup of tea…
Two sweet treat classics in one, our Chocolate Brownie Trifle needs to be tried to be believed. It’s got all the best bits you’d expect to find (cream, custard, jelly AND chunks of chocolate brownie!), for 239 calories per serving. We know what we’re having for dessert tonight!
