Pig in Blankets from the supermarket can be as much as 5 syns each. Why have them when you can have these Half Syn Pigs in Blankets which are just as tasty!
For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff in the blurb 👍
They are also so ridiculously easy to make too, with just two ingredients you really cannot go wrong! They’re almost a bit too easy to warrant a recipe, but a few members of our Facebook Group demanded it, and we’re more than happy to oblige, so here we are!
These Half Syn Pigs in Blankets are ridiculously low in syns and very, very tasty. The Heck Chicken Italia sausages are the perfect match with the bacon. Subtle garlic and herby notes, certainly keep them interesting. You could of course use any sausages, but the lower in syns the better.

What Sausages are the best for these Half Syn Pigs in Blankets?
We’ve been on the hunt for a new meat supplier for a while now. As you know, we used to use Musclefood, but not anymore! We’ve found a company that not only has a better moral compass but also has some of the best quality meat we've seen in a long time.
You can grab their sausages in a few of our hamper deals, you really should give them a try.
We even have a special Sausage selection box! Their full-size sausages come in at 1 Syn each, and Chipolatas at 0.5 Syns each.
Either are PERFECT for this Half Syn Pigs in Blankets recipe
I can see myself making a batch of these and putting them in the fridge to munch on in the day! You can, of course, make them a couple of days before, and just leave them in the fridge.
You could put them in a small foil takeaway tray and cook them in it too – save on washing up! Seriously, the fewer dishes to wash on Christmas Day the better!
We buy ours in bulk from Amazon, but you can also get them from any of the major supermarkets. Well worth having in the cupboard in my opinion.
