How do I make this Low Syn Chocolate French Toast?

Step 1

Mix the egg, spices and sweetener in a shallow dish.

Step 2

Cut the crusts off the bread and evenly spread the chocolate spread over one slice. Pop the second slice on top to create a sandwich.

Step 3

Put the “sandwich” into the egg mixture. Leave to soak up the egg and spices for a minute, then turn and leave for another minute to soak on the opposite side.

Step 4

Place a non-stick frying pan on a medium heat and spray with Frylight. Carefully place the French Toast into the frying pan and fry on each side for about 3 minutes until golden and crisp.

Step 5

Serve immediately with your choice of garnish!

  1. Hi, I weighed the bread after cutting the crusts off and it was 30g, does this mean it’s half my HEB or the whole thing? Thanks, ps lovely recipe x

      Your HEB allowance is 60g wholemeal bread, so if yours weighed 30g, you’ve only had half your HEB for the day. 🙂
