Low Syn Spiralized Apple Nests | Slimming World

sponsored-post

These Low Syn Spiralized Apple Nests are an incredibly simple, easy to make dessert. You’ll only need 4 ingredients (5 if you add a drizzle of fruit syrup)!

This is another recipe we’ve used the Kenwood Spiralizer for. Our previous recipes have used the linguine cutting cone, so we thought we’d try out the ribbon cutting cone for this one.

The syn value of these Low Syn Spiralized Apple Nests

As we know, when you cook fruit you will have to syn it. For each nest we used 40g of apple for 1 syn.

Slimming World have recently changed the guidelines for synning sweetener.

Where there is 1 tbsp or more being used per serving they recommend members count 0.5 Syn per tbsp. If using smaller amounts, like a pinch or teaspoon, there’s no need to worry about Syns at all.

The recipe for these Low Syn Spiralized Apple Nests uses 2 teaspoons of sweetener and is divided into 6 portions. That means there’s no need to add any syns on for the sweetener itself.

The only other things that will add on syns for this recipe is the ice cream and the Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup (0.5 syns per teaspoon) if you choose to add some.

The syns for the ice cream will depend on the brand you prefer. We used Tesco Everyday Value Soft Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream which works out at 3 syns per 100ml. A regular ice cream scoop generally holds around 50ml, so that would be 1.5 syns worth.
