We try to make it as easy as possible for you to pick up these items as part of your usual weekly shop, and we’ll always include the calorie information and the RRP for you.
Please remember that, although all prices are correct at the time of writing, supermarkets can change their prices often, so this should be used as a guide only.
Along with our favourite new finds from the supermarket shelves, each week we include details of the Aldi Super 6. Every fortnight Aldi discounts a selection of 6 fruits and veggies that you can pick up for a fraction of the price. This week we’ve given you a reminder of the current selection, so hurry down to Aldi to pick up some bargains before a fresh selection goes on offer next week!

Tesco Alcohol Free Pink G & Low Calorie Lemonade – 4 calories per can
Fill your glass with all the fun, fizz and flavour of a pink gin and lemonade, without any of the alcohol! Whether you’re driving, don’t drink, or simply don’t fancy a tipple, these cans of Alcohol Free Pink G and Low Calorie Lemonade from Tesco will come in handy over the summer.
Just as fruity and refreshing as you’d hope, they’re best enjoyed poured over ice and sipped in the sunshine (if we ever get any!). At just 4 calories a can, these slimming-friendly beverages are always a good idea.
Next time you’re having people round, pop a pitcher of our Pink Lemonade on the table. It’s bursting with citrusy goodness, thanks to a yummy combination of fresh lemons, raspberries and sweetener.
Tesco Alcohol Free Pink G & Low Calorie Lemonade is available from Tesco, priced at £4.00 for a pack of 4.
La Famiglia Rana Mushroom & Roasted Garlic Fresh Sauce – 153 calories per 1/2 pack
We love to cook from scratch, but some days just don’t go to plan! We’ve spotted this La Famiglia Rana Mushroom and Roasted Garlic Fresh Sauce in Tesco this week, and it looks like it’ll bring home-cooked flavours to the table on those busy days.
A chunky medley of shiitake, champignon and nameko mushrooms in a rich, garlicky cream sauce, it only needs heating up and stirring through some freshly-cooked pasta.
Our own Mushroom Carbonara recipe only takes 45 minutes to make, and it’s worth every second of waiting once you’re twirling the spaghetti round your fork! Even without the bacon or ham you’d usually find in a carbonara, you’ll get a lovely deep flavour from humble chestnut mushrooms. Add it to your meal plan this weekend!
La Famiglia Rana Mushroom & Roasted Garlic Fresh Sauce is available from Tesco, priced at £2.75 for a pack that serves 2.
ASDA Sticky & Smoky BBQ Baby Potatoes – 104 calories per 1/4 pack
Just because it’s not sunny enough to cook outside, doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a summer full of smoky-sweet barbecue flavours! We’ve grabbed a pack of these Sticky and Smoky BBQ Baby Potatoes to bake in the oven (or they’ll crisp up a treat in the air fryer!).
Ready-coated in an irresistible BBQ rub, they also come with a sachet of sauce to add 5 minutes before they’re done cooking. We’ll be putting them to the taste test plated up alongside our juicy BBQ Roast Chicken.
To bring the signature smokiness of the grill, without needing to step outside, we’ve smothered the chicken in a tastebud-tingling BBQ marinade. It goes under the skin, as well as on the outside, to make sure the flavour bursts through with every bite.
ASDA Sticky & Smoky BBQ Baby Potatoes are available from Asda, priced at £2.30.
M&S Orange Candy Melon Perfectly Ripe – 22 calories per 100g
There are few fruits that are juicier or more refreshing than a slice of melon, and this new variety from M&S promises to be ‘intensely sweet’ too! If you need a nutritious snack for the weekend, treat yourself to one of these Perfectly Ripe Orange Candy Melons.
Chopped into cubes or carved into slices, it’s delicious served with your breakfast, or enjoyed when you need a little boost of sweetness to get you through the afternoon.
Why not start the day with something fresh and fruity? We added this recipe for Piña Colada Pancakes to our website recently, and it’s such a treat for anyone who can’t get enough of tropical coconut and pineapple. What a way to start your morning!
M&S Orange Candy Melon Perfectly Ripe is available from M&S stores or online at Ocado, priced at £3.20.
Tesco Tikka Inspired Hummus – 99 calories per 1/4 pot
Picnics, picky teas and buffets just aren’t the same without a pot of hummus and an array of crunchy things to dip in it. This Tesco Tikka Inspired Hummus comes with an Indian-inspired flavour twist, thanks to a blend of mild and fragrant spices.
At 99 calories per serving, it’ll be delicious scooped up with a carrot stick or a slice of toasted pitta bread. You could even add a dollop to salads, sandwiches or wraps for a tasty packed lunch.
It’s no secret that we love a fakeaway feast, especially when it includes mildly-spiced tikka flavours. These Loaded Tikka Fries are no exception, with crispy chips, a quick homemade curry and a dollop of mint yoghurt and mango chutney to top it all off.
Tesco Tikka Inspired Hummus is available from Tesco, priced at £1.35.
Fry’s Limited Edition Turkish Delight Orange Flavour – 186 calories per bar
Run to the shops if you want to get your hands on this limited edition flavour of the classic sweet treat! These Fry’s Limited Edition Turkish Delight Orange Flavour bars have been spotted in Iceland, and we’re not sure how long they’ll be around.
Instead of the floral, fragrant, rose-flavoured centre, this version has a melt-in-the-mouth orange middle, covered in smooth milk chocolate. Make yourself a cuppa and get comfy to enjoy one!
Chocolate and orange are always a winning combination in our opinion, particularly when they’re baked into our squidgy little Chocolate Orange Brownies. They’re just as dreamy as they sound (and they’re only 72 calories per square!).
Fry’s Limited Edition Turkish Delight Orange Flavour is available from Iceland, priced at £1.35 for a pack of 3.
Sides Jalapeño and Cheese Stuffed Hash Brown Nuggets – 185 calories per 4 nuggets (ovenbaked)
Who likes the sound of a hash brown nugget? To make them even more delicious, these Sides Jalapeño and Cheese Stuffed Hash Brown Nuggets come stuffed with a cheesy, spicy centre – and you’ll find them in the frozen aisle at Iceland!
They might sound far from slimming friendly, but 4 nuggets works out at 185 calories – not bad when you’re craving something stodgy and comforting! They’ll be gorgeous and golden after just 8 minutes in an air fryer (or 13 minutes in a fan oven).
We’ve popped a homemade hash brown inside our new Breakfast Wrap recipe, but we won’t tell anyone if you swap it out for a couple of these instead! Just be sure to work out any additional calories, if you’re keeping count.
Sides Jalapeño and Cheese Stuffed Hash Brown Nuggets are available from Iceland, priced at £3.50.
Whitworths Wondermix Fight Fatigue Fruit & Nut Mix – 127 calories per 30g serving
Your snack break just got tastier and more energy-boosting! Whitworths have released a few new products recently, including trail mixes and this Wondermix Fight Fatigue Fruit and Nut Mix.
Perfect for packing as your mid-afternoon snack, the medley of crunchy nibbles includes almonds, dried banana, raisins, dried strawberry and dried apple pieces. Brimming with vitamins, copper, manganese and magnesium, a portion can help to fight off fatigue, and keep your energy levels up to get you through the day.
When we’re craving a crunchy snack, we turn on the air fryer and make a batch of Air Fryer Chickpeas. One of the easy recipes you’ll find in our brand-new air fryer cookbook, we’ve even included 4 different seasonings, so you can switch up snack time throughout the week.
Whitworths Wondermix Fight Fatigue Fruit & Nut Mix is available from Tesco, priced at £3.50.
Yorkshire Caramelised Biscuit Brew Tea Bags – 2 calories per cup (without milk or sugar)
A couple of weeks ago we asked our community to tell us their favourite tea brand, and the winner was Yorkshire Tea by far! We’re guessing that means you’ll all be excited to try these Yorkshire Caramelised Biscuit Brew Tea Bags…
We also know how much you love the biscuity taste of Biscoff, so if these live up to expectation, it might just be the ultimate brew to enjoy with one of our glorious Biscoff recipes.
Pop the kettle on while these Biscoff Swirls are getting flaky in the oven. They only need 3 ingredients and 20 minutes to turn into golden pastry treats, with gooey Lotus Biscoff spread running through the layers. Best of all, they’re just 89 calories each.
Yorkshire Caramelised Biscuit Brew Tea Bags are available from Morrisons, priced at £2.30 for a pack of 40 bags.
Marmite Cheese & Marmite Puffs – 84 calories per pack
Savoury snackers are in for a treat this week – we’ve spied these Marmite Cheese and Marmite Puffs at Sainsbury’s! Love it or hate it, the famous spread works a treat when you pair it with cheese, so it takes these crunchy bites to the next level.
You’ll get 6 snack packs inside this bag, at only 84 calories each. Just the ticket when you’re on the go, they’ll round off your lunch or keep the hunger pangs at bay in-between meals.
Marmite is one of our favourite ingredients, and we challenge anyone not to like our easy-peasy Marmite Mash. You don’t have to go all-out with the yeast extract, so it can be as strong or as subtle as you prefer!
Marmite Cheese & Marmite Puffs are available from Sainsbury’s, priced at £2.20 for a pack of 6 (or £1.65 with a Nectar card).
