These Spiced Turkey Bites are just as at home on a buffet table as they are as a quick snack from the fridge. And they’re so moreish! Why not make a couple of slimming friendly dips to serve them with too? For the spiced turkey bites

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a bowl, mix the spices with some salt and pepper. Add the meat and mix together well. Chill in the fridge for an hour to marinade.

Step 2

Roll the mixture into 24 balls. Place onto a baking sheet, spray with low calorie cooking spray and cook in the oven for 10 minutes until golden.

Step 3

Pop a cocktail stick into each bite and serve on lettuce “cups” with minty dip.

For the minty dip

Step 1

Mix together the yoghurt and mint jelly and serve in a dip bowl.

From frozen: Allow to defrost. Remove the Spiced Turkey Bites from the cocktail sticks, and heat covered in the microwave for 4-7 minutes until piping hot.

Ingredients

For the turkey bites

  • 250 grams 3% fat turkey mince
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic granules

For the Minty Dip

  • 5 tbsp fat free natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp mint jelly
