What do I need to make these Mini Pizza Bites?

You will also need to make sure the bread is an even thickness. We use one of these nifty rolling pins from Joseph Joseph, which you can find on Amazon.

This Mini Pizza Bites recipe uses 40g of low fat cheddar, which doesn’t seem a lot really.

However, we’ve discovered that if you use one of these little gadgets to grate your cheese a little can go a very long way! You can pick one up on Amazon.

How do I make these Mini Pizza Bites?

Step 1

Remove the crust from the bread, then roll each slice out until it’s 2mm thick

Step 2

Lightly toast one side of the bread

Step 3

Mix the Italian herbs with the tomato puree, then spread this evenly on the untoasted side of the bread.

Step 4

Grate the cheese using a fine grater, then spread this evenly over both slices of bread

Step 5

Top with the mixed peppers then pop them under a hot grill for a few minutes or until the cheese has melted and started to colour

Step 6

Remove from the grill, then cut each slice into 6 even pieces with a sharp knife and serve

  1. Hi! Just wondered if this would still work using 4 slices of bread from a 400g loaf and then cutting each slice into 3 rather than 6 please? Was thinking about doing these for my group’s taster session, but I always buy a 400g loaf! Thanks in advance
