These slimming friendly, easy to make Spiced Turkey Bites are perfect for a buffet! They were one of the recipes suggested in our wonderful Facebook Group, and this one comes from Becky.

These Spiced Turkey Bites are just as at home on a buffet table as they are as a quick snack from the fridge. And they’re so moreish! Why not make a couple of slimming friendly dips to serve them with too? We think our Sweet Chilli Dip would give a wonderful extra kick to these Spiced Turkey Bites, or if you want to cool things down, try the minty yoghurt dip added to the recipe below.

For the spiced turkey bites

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a bowl, mix the spices with some salt and pepper. Add the meat and mix together well. Chill in the fridge for an hour to marinade.

Step 2

Roll the mixture into 24 balls. Place onto a baking sheet, spray with low calorie cooking spray and cook in the oven for 10 minutes until golden.

Step 3

Pop a cocktail stick into each bite and serve on lettuce “cups” with minty dip.

For the minty dip

Step 1

Mix together the yoghurt and mint jelly and serve in a dip bowl.

From frozen: Allow to defrost. Remove the Spiced Turkey Bites from the cocktail sticks, and heat covered in the microwave for 4-7 minutes until piping hot.

For the turkey bites

  • 250 grams 3% fat turkey mince
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic granules

For the Minty Dip

  • 5 tbsp fat free natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp mint jelly
