Red Thai Curry
This Red Thai Curry is the perfect main dish for a Thai-inspired fakeaway night. Our lower-calorie recipe is nutritious and budget-friendly, by making the most of crunchy vegetables and store cupboard herbs and spices.
Using zesty lemongrass and fiery red chillies, we’ve made our fragrant curry paste with just enough spice to warm you up on a chilly evening. You can always turn up the heat by adding an extra chilli or two, if you’re feeling brave.
At only 312 calories per portion, it’s well worth trying over a bowl of fluffy basmati rice.
Psst! If you’re looking to introduce milder, Thai-style flavours to your midweek menu, our Creamy Red Thai Curry is a great place to start.
Espresso Martini Trifle
Who fancies a cocktail for dessert? Our tipple-inspired Espresso Martini Trifle is a treat for chocolate lovers and coffee connoisseurs alike.
A fresh twist on the classic British trifle, this boozy pudding is begging to be served at your next dinner party. With layers of coffee-infused jelly, chocolatey yoghurt, cream and brownie pieces, there’s something to impress your guests in every spoonful.
We used brownie bites from the supermarket to save ourselves some time, but there’s nothing to stop you rustling up a homemade batch for your version (our Chocolate Brownies are nice and light at 59 calories each!).
Crustless Apple Pie
You’d be forgiven for thinking that apple pie is off the menu while counting calories, and yet our Crustless Apple Pie comes in at 158 per serving! We’ve used a short list of simple ingredients to put this wintery dessert together, including warming notes of cinnamon.
To guarantee you’ll never miss the pastry, we’ve ramped up the comfort with an ultra-sweet, custard-style filling. You’ll want to make sure your apples are sliced as evenly as possible for this recipe – that way, they’ll bake to melty, caramelised perfection at the same rate.
Whether you serve it up with an extra glug of Custard or a scoop of low-calorie ice cream on the side, this one’s a real winner!
Hoisin Turkey Meatballs
While you might be used to pairing meatballs with a tomato-based sauce and spaghetti, the Asian-style flavours in our Hoisin Turkey Meatballs are well worth giving a go. A batch-cook wonder, they pair like a dream with so many different sides; try them with rice, noodles, chips or mashed potatoes!
Our rich, homemade sauce is so moreish and easy to put together, you won’t go back to using shop-bought sachets in a hurry. Thanks to lean turkey mince and cutting out any hidden nasties with fresh ingredients, you’ll find all the restaurant-quality flavours here for only 270 calories per portion.
Cauliflower Katsu
The crispy, breadcrumb-coated florets in our Air Fryer Cauliflower Katsu are ideal for taking a break from meat. To make sure they’re golden and crispy, we’ve dipped them in egg and crunchy panko breadcrumbs before popping them in the air fryer (don’t worry if you don’t have an air fryer at home, you can bake them in the oven too!).
We’ve used Pinch of Nom magic to turn fresh veggies and Asian-style herbs into the Katsu curry sauce that makes this dish a five-star vegetarian fakeaway night option. The sauce is so thick, creamy and flavoursome, you’ll definitely want to save an extra batch or two in the freezer!
Cheesy Chilli Pizza
Calling all pizza lovers! You won’t regret cracking out your pizza cutter to try our Cheesy Chilli Pizza. To keep the calories lower without spoiling fun-filled pizza night deliciousness, we’ve baked up an oh-so-crispy Naan bread base. It takes around 45 minutes to prove your dough, but the results are so worth it!
Topped with gooey Gouda cheese, chillies, coriander and a chilli-infused base sauce, you’d think these top-notch flavours were delivered to your door. Don’t forget the finishing drizzle of sweet chilli sauce…
Chicken Burritos
To say they’re loaded with mildly-spiced chicken, crunchy veggies, black beans, grated cheese and Basmati rice, you’d never know our Chicken Burritos are as light as 258 calories per serving. To keep the calories lower without sacrificing fiesta-level flavours, we’ve bundled up our ingredients in low-calorie tortilla wraps and prepared the punchy guacamole from scratch.
You never have to make these burritos the same way twice; add extra peppers, onion, sweetcorn or any other ingredients you’ve got laying around. Leftovers have never tasted so good!
Fish Finger Tachos
With so much colour and flavour, it’s impossible not to love our Fish Finger Tachos. A surefire way to brighten up any plate, each home-baked wrap comes loaded with fish finger pieces and shredded slaw-style veggies.
Since you can’t have ‘Tachos’ without nachos, you’ll find low-salt tortilla chips inside too – they give every bite such an irresistible, cheesy crunch!
We like them fiery with a drizzle of hot sauce, or they’ll go down a treat with creamy Coleslaw and Homemade Oven Chips.
Banoffee Cheesecake
It’s hard to say no to bananas and caramel, especially when our dreamy Banoffee Cheesecake is on the menu. Using a nifty combination of light cream cheese, reduced-fat spread, Greek yoghurt and sweetener, our recipe recreates the classic creaminess of New York style cheesecake without taking you off track.
We’ve dressed our luxuriously velvety showstopper to impress, with sliced bananas and a reduced-sugar caramel drizzle on top.
You can always serve each slice with a swirl of reduced-fat aerosol cream. It pairs so well with our crumbly biscuit base!
Turkey Cranberry Burgers
With a combination of festive flavours and a melt-in-the-middle cheese centre, there’s so much to be jolly about in our Turkey Cranberry Burgers. To give each of our burgers a mouth-wateringly cheesy bite, we’ve wrapped our orange zest and dried cranberry loaded turkey mince around half a Babybel. Trust us, it works so well!
We like to serve them in a toasted bread roll with fresh lettuce, light mayo and a dollop of cranberry sauce.
A Christmassy twist on family burger night, they’re a great option for Boxing Day and beyond. Once you try them, you’re sure to want these flavours more than once a year!
The yummy, egg-topped sauce in our Scotch Egg Curry is jam-packed with comforting goodness from butternut squash, tomato puree and cupboard-staple herbs and spices.
Inspired by the traditional Indian dish ‘Nargisi Kofta’, we’ve put together our own crispy-coated egg with mildly-spiced lean beef mince and made it the star of the show on top of our curry-style dish.
The trick with homemade Scotch eggs is to roll them with wet hands – it makes it so much easier to smooth and shape the all-important crunchy breadcrumbs!
Savoury Cheesecake
The definition of ‘don’t knock it until you’ve tried it’, our Savoury Cheesecake is the gift you didn’t know you needed on your Christmas table. With an unmissable creamy, cheesy filling that sits on an irresistible crumbly oatcake base, our version also comes topped with sweetened cherry tomatoes that we’ve roasted until mouth-wateringly caramelised.
At only 159 calories per slice, this decadent-looking showstopper works just as well as both a festive centrepiece and as a lunchtime treat.
Festive Sausage Rolls
An essential finger food for the party season, no buffet spread is complete without sausage rolls on offer. A freezer-friendly treat you can prepare in advance, our Festive Sausage Rolls have arrived to take your Christmas spread to the next level.
We’ve bundled up a filling of turkey, fresh sage and cranberry sauce in our signature tortilla wrap ‘pastry’, and baked until crispy and golden.
They’re so quick and simple to make, you can even make them fresh and they’ll be ready to impress your guests in just over half an hour.
Christmas Hot Chocolate
Simmered with a cinnamon stick, cloves, orange zest and ginger, our silky Christmas Hot Chocolate is perfect to cosy up with on a chilly afternoon. If the warming spices don’t have you feeling festive, the rich, creamy topping definitely will.
We’ve finished off the Christmas magic with a swirl of aerosol cream, mini marshmallows and sugar sprinkles. For a few additional calories, chocolate sprinkles or crushed up candy canes work really well on top too.
