Cheesy Chilli Pizza - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card below. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff in the blurb!

If you’re already a fan of our Cheesy Chilli Toastie, you’re going to be obsessed with our Cheesy Chilli Pizza. It’s just as delicious as picking up the phone to order from a restaurant, for a fraction of the time and cost!

We’ve prepared our crispy pizza base with a surprise ingredient: home-baked Naan Bread! It takes around 45 minutes to prove your dough to perfection, but the effort is so worth it. You’ll only need a short, budget-friendly list of store cupboard ingredients to rustle it up and there’s not a bit of yeast in sight.

Cheese and chilli has to be one of our all-time favourite flavour combos. We’ve paired gooey Gouda cheese with a base sauce made from a blend of mildly fiery chilli powder, fresh red chillies and tomatoey passata. Not to mention the finishing sweet chilli drizzle! You can always turn the heat down by adding less chilli powder, if you’d prefer – it will still be one of the best pizzas you’ve ever had at home.

What diets is this Cheesy Chilli Pizza suitable for?

Cheesy Chilli Pizza can be enjoyed on vegetarian diets, as long as you substitute Gouda cheese for a veggie-friendly alternative.

If you’re cooking for people with allergies, be extra careful when checking ingredients and preparing food!

Recipe notes

Tip: Place the dough in a warm place to prove, but not somewhere that's too hot. An airing cupboard or warming drawer in some ovens would be about the right temperature.
Tip: This pizza is fairly mild, but chillies vary in size and spiciness quite a lot. Top with as many as you like to suit your own taste! You can always make the base sauce milder by adding less chilli powder, if you’d prefer.
