Looking for something warm, comforting and super tasty for lunch? This Broccoli and Stilton Soup can be made from scratch in just 35 minutes!

There’s a good reason that Stilton and broccoli is such a classic flavour combination – salty cheese and creamy mellow broccoli make for a delicious pairing.

One of the best things about this recipe is that it uses every last bit of the broccoli, so nothing goes to waste. The stalk is full of flavour and goodness, and you can just throw it in the pan with the rest of the ingredients.

This recipe may be simple but it’s so effective. Simmer everything together, blend it all up and sit back to enjoy a bowlful of tasty, slimming friendly soup. We love this for lunch or a light dinner, and it makes a perfect starter too!

What diets is this Broccoli and Stilton Soup suitable for?

This Broccoli and Stilton Soup can be made gluten free as long as you use gluten free vegetable stock cubes.

While Stilton is almost always vegetarian, please check the packaging if you are preparing this recipe for anyone on a vegetarian diet. Occasionally some blue cheeses may contain rennet, which is not suitable for vegetarians.

As always, take extra care when cooking for people with allergies and be sure to use different utensils, cookware and preparation areas.

How Weight Watchers friendly is this Broccoli and Stilton Soup recipe?

Weight Watchers’ new PersonalPoints plan calculates each individual’s Points allowance based on their unique food preferences and goals. This means we’re no longer able to offer exact WW points for our recipes.

Hi Pinch of Nom

First of all may I thank you for sharing some of your delicious recipes for free. For me it’s better than a straightforward advert. It’s meant that I now have a couple of your books!

I have a question regarding this recipe. The photo of the soup being served shows something creamy on top & it’s not listed in the ingredients or the method. Could you tell me what you used please.

Thank you again.

Hey Karen, so glad to hear you are enjoying our recipes! A little reduced fat creme fraiche or fat free Greek yoghurt would work as a garnish on-top of the soup. Just remember to alter the calories accordingly, hope that helps!

Hi, I am not. Big fan of Stilton on it own, I’ve have had Stilton cheese sauce before and wondered if this would be like that? Not a over powering taste? Or is it all about the Stilton?
Thank you

Hey Kelly, if you aren’t sure on the Stilton cheese you could swap the Stilton for Gorgonzola and Danish Blue which have milder flavours. Hope that helps!

Hey Karen, I used white stilton, much milder
