Fresh and filling ingredients combine to create a delicious salad that’s perfect for the warmer weather. A typical Chicken Waldorf Salad contains fruit – don’t let this put you off, the sweetness complements the crispy celery and lettuce leaves perfectly!
This salad is bright and colourful alongside a summer BBQ or served as an appetiser. We’ve served it with cooked chicken breast, but the mix is versatile so you can try whatever protein you’d like! Don’t skip the walnuts, they add extra bite and texture, as well as adding protein to keep this salad as filling as it is tasty.
What diets is this Chicken Waldorf Salad suitable for?
This Chicken Waldorf Salad recipe is suitable for gluten free diets.
It can be made vegetarian as long as you swap out the following ingredients for vegetarian versions;
- Cooked chicken

Hey Jane, you could swap the yoghurt for sour cream and alter the calories accordingly, hope that helps!
