What’s heartier than a homemade fish pie? We’ve spiced up this classic family-friendly comfort dish with laksa curry paste and used light coconut milk to make an aromatic, creamy filling with a delicate spice that brings out all the flavours in the fish. Using shop-bought fish pie mix saves on time. Budget friendly, slimming friendly and so tasty!

Hi Clair, thanks for trying our Curried Fish Pie and we’re sorry to hear it’s too spicy for your taste. Each brand of Laksa paste will be a slightly different blend which will vary in heat, so unfortunately it sounds like yours was a hot one. Generally, green and yellow pastes are the mildest and red ones are the hottest. To tone the heat down you could try stirring in a little more coconut milk or coconut cream (if you don’t mind the extra calories), or some thick plain yoghurt. Do hope this helps and you can enjoy your pie.
