Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

For the full list of ingredients and comprehensive instructions, please see the recipe card at the end of this post. Before you scroll, there’s important stuff to know in the blurb!

These Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks are our version of the spicy American classic dish. Coated in a tasty hot sauce mixture and baked in the oven, we’ve served them alongside a cooling, low calorie blue cheese dip and some celery sticks which makes them perfect for serving at a summer picnic or as a snack.

These Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks have a nice kick to them (hence their name!) but if you like your food a little milder, then you can just adjust the amount of hot sauce needed to 100ml. The cooling dip will also help to make these less spicy and adds a really nice contrast of flavour.

Once cooked and cooled, these drumsticks can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven if you’re making them ahead of time. They’re also absolutely delicious when served cold!

What diets are these Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks suitable for?

These Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks can be made suitable for a vegetarian diet as long as you use a vegetarian substitute for the chicken.

Please make sure to double or triple check all of your ingredients if you’re cooking for people with allergies.

Is there an alternative cheese I can use, instead of blue cheese?

Reply

    SharonThursday 19th October 2023

Hi Zoe, you could try using finely grated Parmesan instead of blue cheese in our Fiery Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks recipe. Hope you enjoy the recipe!

Most hot sauces say to heat in a pan and add butter. Do too do that or just use the sauce without butter? Obviously makes a big difference to the calories! Thanks.

Hello! 🙂

Can you use Worcestershire sauce instead of the Henderson’s relish? I’m finding it hard to get hold of- but heard this is similar?

Thank you in advance 🙂
