Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Add the chicken, onions, and peppers to an ovenproof dish. Spray with low-calorie cooking spray.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Mix until smooth. Pour over the chicken and vegetables, then mix to coat.
Step 4

Hi Sandra, yes you can. You might need to adjust the cooking time, depending on the size and thickness of the breasts. Hope you enjoy the recipe!

Hi I made this last night and the ingredients was like a thick paste. What did I do wrong??
LisaThursday 21st May 2020
Hi June. If it is too thick, you can add a couple of tablespoons of water at step 4 to make more sauce.

Can I cook without the Xanthum gum?
Holly LevellTuesday 2nd June 2020
Hi Rebecca, We use the Xanthan Gum as a thickener and works a bit like cornflour. You could swap it out for cornflour though just alter the calories accordingly hope that helps!

Although I did use a screenshot, it was only for shopping list purposes. Would this sauce be ok on a whole chicken (with cooking time), and not burn?
Sharon FitzpatrickThursday 21st May 2020
Hi Sandy, we haven’t tried the spice mix on a whole chicken , but it should be fine. Please let us know how it goes!

Can you use cornflower instead of the gum?
RosscoTuesday 22nd May 2018
I couldn’t find any Xantham Gum but this was delicious nonetheless. I added lot’s of halved cherry tomatoes for some extra moisture and covered in foil for the second half of the cooking. Paprika + Garlic Powder + Onion Powder is an easy combo I’ll be using again. Thank you 🙂
