Sausage, egg, chips and pizza are all foods that remind us of greasy breakfasts and high fat takeaways. Not anymore! We’ve made some simple swaps and created a pizza that’s packed full of family favourite foods, but with far fewer calories.
If you’ve never used a tortilla wrap before, they’re amazing substitutes for dough and pastry. Don’t be put off if you’ve never tried it, they’re so versatile and lend themselves well to both savoury and sweet flavours.
You can even make Apple Strudels with them!
In this recipe, it stays firm enough to hold like a pizza slice, but soft enough that it satisfies the pizza dough craving, which is just what you need for Fakeaway night!
Don’t be tempted to skip the par boiling and drying steps for the chips: this makes them fluffy on the inside and crispy, golden brown on the outside. Serve alongside your favourite sides for a filling, easy dinner in less than an hour.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Spray a small ovenproof dish with low calorie cooking spray and place the sausage in the dish. Place in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, turning the sausage halfway through. Remove from the oven and slice the sausage into 8 slices.
Step 3
While the sausage is cooking, prepare the chips. Cut the potato into 8 x 1 cm wide chips. Place a small saucepan of water on the hob, cover and bring to the boil.
Step 4
When the water is boiling, carefully add the chips, cover and par boil for 6 – 7 minutes until just tender. Drain off the water and place the par boiled chips on absorbent kitchen paper.
Step 5
Pat the par boiled chips dry then place on a small plate. Spray the dry chips with low calorie cooking spray and season well with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Line the baking tray with non stick baking paper. Place the tortilla wrap on the paper.
Step 7
Spread the tomato ketchup over the tortilla wrap up to 1cm from the edge.
Step 8
Spread the onion over the ketchup. Then add the Cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, sausage slices and chips, leaving a space in the centre for the egg.
Step 9
Crack the egg open and carefully drop into the space in the middle of the pizza.
Step 10
Spray the edge of the pizza base with low calorie cooking spray and place in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes, turning the baking tray halfway through cooking.
Step 11
The egg should be set and cooked and the chips lightly golden. Serve at once.
