Dominos Fakeaway Chicken Feast Pizza | Slimming World & Weight Watchers Friendly

Since Slimming World now class 60g of baked Aldi Wholemeal Bread Mix as your HEB there has been a lot of pizza recipes posted on Facebook and Instagram.

Please note that the Asda Wholemeal Bread Mix is no longer an HEB option

This got us thinking about what flavour pizzas we could make syn free or low syn, and we came up with our own Fakeaway versions of these Papa Johns favourites : Syn Free Chicken Club, Syn Free Mexican Chipotle Meatball and Syn Free Chicken Tandoori. Now nearly 3 months on we have decided to try a few more, this time based on Dominos favourites!

So, we enlisted the help of our Facebook Group and asked them what they would like to see. You can join our Facebook group by clicking the image below!

In the tradition of those cheesy Saturday night talent shows, we’ll be announcing the winners in reverse order from third place to the most popular.

So, without further ado, here is the most requested Dominos Pizza flavour.  Our version of Chicken Feast – Syn Free Dominos Fakeaway Chicken Feast Pizza! You can find the recipe for our 3rd place Pepperoni Passion here and 2nd place Texas BBQ here.

We made a Syn free Tomato sauce base, which you can make in advance and keep it in the fridge for up to a week, or you can portion it up and keep it in the freezer.

We’ve topped this one with some chicken, sweetcorn and mushrooms.

We used 30g of zero fat Mozzarella, which is half of one of your HEA choices, or you can use 20g of light cheddar if you prefer) and it uses your daily HEB option.

It’s actually pretty tasty, and unlike a lot of other “diet” cheeses, melts well too!

Time Saving Tips

There are a few steps to making these, and they do take a while due to the proving of the dough and cooking the chicken – but it is worth it. I promise.

Time-saving tip, cook the chicken and prepare the toppings whilst your waiting for the dough to prove – it will save you a lot of time. Do not put raw chicken on this pizza!!

A Note About Weights

Slimming World do say that the 60g is of cooked dough – so you need to be careful! We’ve experimented and cooked 65g of dough. When baked it weighed just under 60g – so you should be ok. Just remember this we’re not trained consultants and our advice doesn’t replace that of your consultant – be sensible!

Whenever we need to replace oil in cooking we use Frylight. Perfect for everyday frying and cooking, it delivers exactly one calorie per spray, which makes it Syn free! The Rapeseed or Olive Oil flavours are ideal for this Syn Free Dominos Fakeaway Chicken Feast Pizza recipe.

Tomato Sauce
  1. Throw all ingredients into a pan, bring up to the heat then turn down and simmer for 30 minutes stirring often
  2. Once cooked attack with a stick blender, or blitz in a food processor until smooth
  3. Place into a sterilised jar until ready for use. Will least a week in the fridge, or you can freeze it. Perfect for batch booking
Pizza Assembly
  1. After you have rolled out your dough, place the tomato sauce & spread it around
  2. Add half the sweetcorn, then sprinkle with 1/3 of the mozzarella
  3. Add the chicken, mushrooms and remaining chicken
  4. Sprinkle on the rest of the cheese - make sure to distribute it evenly

  1. About to try this so fingers crossed. I do have a question though how long can you keep the frozen 70g dough balls for?

  2. Made this for lunch today, it was lovely. I used waitrose bread mix which unfortunately wasnt classed as a healthy b option only asda and aldi for some reason. Not too bothered as have plenty syns to use up for the day.

    1. Hi Carley
It may be that they have taken the Asda wholemeal bread mix off the HEB list (at the time of writing it was an HEB option). We’ll check, and if it’s no longer an HEB we will change the recipe accordingly

  3. If you put another piece of parchment over the dough then roll it out like a sandwich it’s a bit easier and you don’t use any extra flour at all. Just don’t forget to take the top piece off before you cook!

  4. Hello, in the section about weights you say to use 65g of dough, and in the instructions it says 70g, I was just wondering which measurement I should adhere to? Thanks 🙂

  5. I cannot find the Aldi Wholemeal Bread Mix and the staff told me they no longer stock it 🙁 is there an alternative base mix? It looks delicious and I really want to make it. Thank you!

    1. Hi Suzy
We’re aware that supplies of the Aldi bread mix can vary from area to area. There are other bread mixes available, but Aldi is the only wholemeal bread mix listed as an HEB choice.

    1. Hi Sarah,
The Aldi bread mix is still listed as a Healthy Extra B choice. Apparently it’s a seasonal product, so Aldi don’t stock it all year round.
If you’re making this with any other bread mix, you’ll need to calculate Syns accordingly. 🙂

  6. Oh my Lord, pepperoni pizza,I’ve missed you 😂 I will give this a try, thank you. I’ve just looked up the syns for 100g Aldi mix and it’s the same as for Sainsburys and Morrison’s mix. If I use only 60g of one if the others surely thats the same as using the Aldi HEB! I don’t understand how they can be so different?

    1. Hi Sue
We use the Aldi The Pantry Crusty Wholemeal bread mix as it’s officially listed on the Syns Online database as an HEB choice.

It’s not just calories, fat and sugar that are taken into account when calculating Syns. Other factors are just as important, such as fibre content, carbs and protein. These are the things that keep you feeling fuller for longer and that will help to keep you from reaching for the snacks between meals. Slimming World is about filling power, not just about calories. If you’d like a more comprehensive answer, Slimming World themselves are always happy to answer queries directly 🙂
