With its cherry and almond flavours, this is a deliciously creamy rice pudding with a Bakewell twist! Perfect for cooking on the hob, you can also pop everything in the slow cooker if you prefer. Top with the simple cherry compote and a few flaked almonds for added crunch. Psst… if you have any leftovers, pop them in the fridge and it's just as delicious when enjoyed cold for breakfast the next day.

I made the bakewell rice pudding minus the cherries and flaked almonds ( i don't like them) but this was tasty with just cinnamon.

Same recipe but stewed cherries as I didn’t have frozen I used almond milk and sweetener

Easy to make. I used almond milk and sweetener - it was rich and creamy & reminded me of being back at school (it’s a long time since I toasted almonds, quickest way I find is to toast them in a dry frying pan , they toast really quickly adding comfort flavour)

Just pure heaven. I did this in the slow cooker 😋. I’m not a massive fan of cherries so I just put a dollop of low sugar jam on the top.
