We can’t stop thinking about this Chicken Kyiv Pasta Bake! Imagine the creamy, garlicky filling from a chicken Kyiv, turned into a rich pasta sauce. That’s exactly what inspired this recipe, and it works so well.
We’ve mixed chicken and mushrooms into our leek and garlic sauce, stirred in the pasta and topped it off with crispy breadcrumbs. It comes out of the oven lovely and golden, and it smells (and tastes) just as good as it looks.
Despite the creamy sauce and the cheesy topping, this trusty pasta bake comes in at just 406 calories per serving. It’s ideal for a midweek meal when you’re craving bags of flavour without spending hours in the kitchen.

How many grams of breadcrumbs would you need to equal the 2 medium slices of bread?
SharonWednesday 21st June 2023
Hi Linda, two medium slices of brown bread weigh approximately 74g in total; so you would need 74g of fresh brown breadcrumbs. Hope this helps.

Really really dry what did I do wrong?
SharonThursday 18th May 2023
Hi Rosemarie, we’re sorry your Chicken Kyiv Pasta Bake turned out too dry. It could be that the sauce was cooked for too long in step 3 and reduced too much or maybe your oven runs a little hot which has dried it out. Hope this helps.
LindaThursday 6th April 2023
Hi sounds lush except the mushrooms which I hate but can leave them out. Quick question, can you use quark instead of cream cheese?
SharonThursday 20th April 2023
Hi Linda we wouldn’t recommend using quark instead of cream cheese in this recipe. Using cream cheese will make the mixture a little richer and it will stand up to reheating better.
HildaTuesday 7th March 2023
Lovely recipe and works well to to substitute the chicken for prawns.
