Creamy Chicken Soup
This Creamy Chicken Soup is like a big warm hug from the inside and is perfect for when you're feeling a bit under the weather or need warming up on a cold winter's day. This simple dairy-free recipe has all of the flavours you'd expect, but without any of the extra calories, so you can enjoy it guilt free.
Hints & Tips
Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.
You could use meat with bones for added flavour - just make sure the skin is removed before cooking and all the bones are removed after it's cooked! If you want a thicker soup, use 1 litre of stock in the slow-cooker and hob-top methods, or reduce the soup over the heat at the end of cooking (removing the slow-cooker lid for the last hour of cooking). If you want it thinner, just add a little splash of water at a time and stir until it's to your liking.
We recommend using chicken thighs in this soup as we think the flavour is better, but you could use a large chicken breast instead if you prefer - it'll be totally delicious either way!

Can you freeze this?

Hey Paula, yes this soup can be frozen. Any recipe that can be frozen in our books has an F symbol above the ingredients list. Hope that helps!
