Wholemeal bagel thins are the key to keeping this dish light enough for an everyday breakfast. They have far fewer calories than their traditional counterparts, which are well known for being high in calories. The thins still give that amazing 'bagelicious' taste – and the hole in the middle? We want more! We add an egg to make it even more filling and tasty. You may need a knife and fork to eat this one if you like your yolk runny!

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

Make it veggie

Omit the bacon and add another sliced mushroom.

Really filling delicious breakfast
Add any breakfast ingredients you like for a proper pimped up breakfast
Star attraction- egg yolk
I don’t really like egg white but as this was absorbed into the bagel, I barely noticed it and the runny yolk was the star of the breakfast!
Toasted the bottom slice of the bagel and added a slice of light mature cheddar for a little Saturday morning treat 😊
I fried the cherry tomatoes to give it a breakfast feel. I also flipped the bagel half way through cooking to make the egg yolk harder.
Worth cooking this
Cooked the egg white first in a silver metal mould
