Garlic and Lime Balti
As you may be able to tell from the name, garlic and lime take centre-stage in this version of the classic Indian Balti dish. We've kept the spice mild but encourage lovers of heat to crank up the chilli in the curry paste if they wish.
Hints & Tips
Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.
What I Add
Air fryed potatoes to bulk it up. Also marinate the chicken and make the paste the night before and it’s such a quick and easy dinner for the next day as not much else needs adding apart from the chopped tomatoes and stock Double up
Made double the amount of paste & froze half for the next Balti, used chicken thighs. I added
Cubed Maris piper potatoes and a whole sweet potato cubed. Popped in a air fryer then added to the curry to bulk it up This was very tasty, easy to make and I will be making again
Goes really well with minted yoghurt dip, made with mint sauce and Greek style yoghurt!! Absolutely gorgeous
So easy to make and so much tastier than shop bought and not swimming in oil like takeaways. We loved it and we now try lemon and lime in other dishes too. Send us a Hint or Tip
