This is our version of a popular German soup known as 'Kartoffelsuppe': a creamy and comforting soup packed with vegetables and bacon. Using lighter cream cheese keeps it thick and indulgent without a pot of full-fat cream in sight!

NEW TIP
Throw all the ingredients in the slow cooker raw for 7 hours
Make in advance and freeze.
NEW TIP
Had to use dried herbs but all worked well for fab flavour
Substituted fresh herbs for dried as that's what I had and flavour wasnt comprised

I used a mini chopper to cut the vegetables to the same size and they cook more evenly.
