What do I need to make Easter Hummus Pots?

You don’t need a whole bunch to make these Easter Hummus Pots! I’ll cover the main things you need here – you can find the rest in the recipe at the bottom of the page. You will need;

  • A blender/food processor
  • Plant Pots
  • Hummus

Blender/Food Processor

Hummus is impossible to make without a blender or a food processor! When it comes to small kitchen electricals we often find that buying the cheapest is a false economy!

So pick yourself a decent blender, and let it do all of the hard work for you. There are plenty of blenders/food processors choose from over on Amazon UK.

This Kenwood Compact Food Processor does the job really well and doesn’t take up too much space in your kitchen cupboard.

Plant Pots

Odd I know – but a must to get the full effect! We grabbed some 7.5cm plant pots from amazon as our local garden centre didn’t have any small ones.

As for the inner, you can line with clingfilm, use a dip pot like we did or even a disposable cup. Just make sure you don’t put the hummus directly into the plant pot, otherwise, you’ll have some cleaning up to do!

Hummus

Of course, you need to fill the Easter Hummus Pots with some Hummus! We have soooo many different slimming friendly hummus recipes to choose from all taking less than 15 minutes to prepare.

How do you put these Easter Hummus Pots together?

  • You pretty much add your ingredients into your blender/food processor and blitz until your Hummus reaches the consistency you’d like it to have. Too dry? Just add a tablespoon of water.

  • Next, you need to make your mini carrots! Simply make a hole in the top of a mini carrot with a bamboo skewer. If the kids are doing this – please make sure to keep an eye on them. Don’t be tempted to use a knife as the hole won’t be small enough.

  • Pop a sprig of curly parsley into the carrot holes and voila – you have mini carrots with tops!
