Black Forest Porridge
Is there a better way to start the day than with dessert for breakfast?! Chocolate and cherry is such a great flavour combination and it works really well when paired with creamy porridge. Using store-cupboard ingredients and frozen fruit makes this a super quick and easy breakfast to throw together on a cold morning –it’s guaranteed to be a new family favourite!
Hints & Tips
Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.
You could substitute the chocolate for cocoa powder, but you may need to adjust the sweetness. You can also use fresh cherries for the porridge instead of frozen.
You can make this on the hob if you prefer. Just put the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
