Afternoon tea, anyone? These light Strawberry Shortcakes are filled with sweetened, juicy strawberries and creamy fat-free yoghurt to keep the calories low. These shortcakes are American-style ones which are more like a soft, light scone rather than a typical shortcake biscuit, making them perfect for a tasty teatime treat!

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

You can serve these while the shortcakes are still slightly warm if preferred. Handle the dough as little as possible as over-handling may make the dough tough

Gorgeous fresh treat
Large enough to divide into 6 servings to reduce calories if you wish. Great to freeze too!

Another really easy to make recipe
I bake the shortcake and then freeze half before adding the filling, and they taste just as delicious when defrosted and filling added. 😋
Lovely and light and not over sweet. They are big and very filling so I cut into 6 or 8 smaller ones rather than only 4.
