This dopiaza is a South Asian dish. By cooking the recipe from scratch, you can eliminate the high oil content of a takeaway version, leaving you with the same amazingly spiced, onion-based dish, without the high calorie count.

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

Delicious Curry
I added more chilli flakes to the dopiaza for a bit more heat as we like it a bit hotter. I also boiled the potatoes for 10 mins first and gave them a good shake to get more crispness to them. Added a green pepper too for extra taste.
Delicious
I added a tsp of garlic granules to the potatoes too. Leave the skins on as it helps prevent them breaking too much.
Nice and spicy
It was lovely, really tasty, low guilt and a nice kick! Hubby thought it was a little too spicy, next time, I might use only half a chilli but there definitely will be a next time!
The Cumin Potatoes
I tried using garlic infused spray oil, with brilliant results.

‘The tastiest curry I’ve had! Works extremely well with the potatoes, definitely a favourite.’
