Chicken in Orange

This dish combines the classic Chinese flavours of a takeaway but ingeniously uses no-added-sugar squash to give it an orange flavour. You'll be pleased to know that you're not pouring a glass of diluted squash into your dish! It simply uses the concentrate to inject that orangey goodness without you needing to reduce an orange sauce for an hour before you can even get cracking on the meal. A super-quick, super-simple fakeaway. Perfect!

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

For more flavour if you like it strong add a bit more squash
Delicious, quick and simple to make. I didn't have onion powder so used granules instead and didn't add the chilli. The orange segments were a delicious edition! If you want a stronger flavour add more squash and even a bit of orange zest!
Just brilliant
I personally prefer my chicken in strips, I also added orange and pineapple squash, absolutely mind blown with this recipe.

‘No more takeaway orange chicken for this house! It was so creamy and zesty but not overpowering at the same time. Easy to make which surprised me, its been requested for our monthly Chinese takeaway night’
