These ham and potato cakes taste just as good as the deep-fried versions, but without the need for all the oil and calories. The mustard adds a real depth of flavour and a sprinkle of seasoning makes them proper yum! So simple and delicious, they make a great midweek meal for all the family to enjoy.

Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

These cakes are a bit fragile, so don't be tempted to keep flipping or lifting them out of the pan. Gently turn them over once to reduce the risk of them falling apart.

Absolutely delicious with Giant Baked Beans!
We used leftovers from the Pulled Ham in Mustard Sauce which is another of our favourites!

Hi Dean, all of our books (except the first book), include full nutritional information for each recipe in a table at the back of the book. Most of our website recipes have a nutritional table at the top of the recipe. Hope this helps.

Hey Sue, the Ham and Potato Cakes may go a little soggy once the potato has been frozen so we think these are best made fresh, hope that helps!
