Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

We used one whole head of garlic, which contains around 8 individual cloves. This may sound like a lot, but the flavour of garlic mellows when it’s roasted. You may even want to use two whole heads if you’re a big fan of strong garlic flavours! Why not put your potato peelings in the oven with the garlic and make a batch of Potato Peel Crisps (see page 190)

Delicious
I thought a whole bulb of garlic would make this overbearing but i was wrong. Because its roasted it makes it much milder. I roasted mine in the airfryer. The mash was creamy and delicious. I served with the creamy peppercorn meatballs. So delicious
Great to make ahead. Brilliant to freeze too.
This fab easy recipe is great to make ahead, you can add more roast garlic if you like, as its so easy to adjust to your liking, also why not pipe it on to greaseproof paper top with a little cheese and bake for a perfect dinner party, and great too.
