Hints & Tips

Below we added some of our communities most common hints and tips. We hope you find them useful.

Added extra veg and fresh basil
I added celery, courgette, chestnut mushrooms, a few tomatoes I needed to use up and also fresh chopped basil.
Easy to follow recipe - forgotten how tasty this is
I pre-made the sauce as I had a busy day ahead. Re-heated the sauce whilst the pasta was cooking. Part cooked the sausage in the airfryer. Assembled everything and popped in the oven. Beautiful flavours.
I added
Courgette, leek and one extra carrot to the sauce mixture
Family Favorite
Keeping the sauce a little chunky gives the dish real depth in flavour. I added a touch of chilli to create an arrabbiata style sauce which complemented the sausage meat wonderfully

‘Sensational. The sauce is perfect the sausage and pasta go really well. We chose to blitz our sauce as we have a fussy eater. However, he did eat it all and said he loved it.’

Where do you get the pasta shells from for stuffing? All I can find is from Amazon and 10 pounds for 2 packs which isn’t really budget friendly!

Hi Chris, currently Sainsbury’s and Ocado have large pasta shells available at a much more reasonable price. Other supermarkets may get them back in stock or you could also try independent delicatessans. Hope you find some and enjoy the recipe!
