Sprinkle Sponge
Who remembers this sprinkled-topped cake from your school dinners? We’ve gone back to our childhood for the inspiration for this Sprinkle Sponge. Nostalgic and delicious in equal measure, our lighter recipe replaces half of the sugar with sweetener to keep the calories down. Rather than smothering the whole cake in icing, a small drizzle goes a long way; and you can’t forget that all-important sprinkling of hundreds and thousands on the top.
