Eurovision Party Recipes - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

The world-famous song contest has rolled around again! If you’re as excited for Eurovision as we are, it’s well worth taking a scroll through these fabulous dinner party ideas. With hearty show-stealers, light snacks and boozy tipples, every single recipe on this list is a worthy winner.

It wouldn’t be a glorious global celebration without a selection of international-style dishes. We’ve included some options inspired by flavours from contending countries, so you can take friends and family on a fun trip around the world from the comfort of your living room.

Sit back, relax and most importantly…let’s have some fun!

Light and tasty Eurovision buffet bits

Whether you’re watching the concert cosy on the sofa, or you’ll be up and dancing to every song, sweet and savoury snacks are a must for the long night ahead. Our Chicken Satay Skewers are a batch-cookable buffet delight, so you can prepare them well in advance of the Eurovision celebrations.

By using peanut butter powder instead of lashings of peanut butter for the satay-style glaze, our chicken pieces come in at just 38 calories per serving.

A seafood treat you can pick at throughout the night, having Baked Coconut Shrimp on the table is always a good idea. Baked in a coating of coconut-infused wholemeal breadcrumbs, each crispy little shrimp goes well with our homemade Sweet Chilli Sauce.

To really seal the zingy deal, don’t forget to squeeze lime juice over the whole plateful. It really brings the flavours to life!

It’s not a buffet without our Pulled Pork Rolls. A scrummy alternative to sausage rolls, you’ll find juicy, BBQ-seasoned pulled pork inside our filo pastry wraps. It takes a few hours to cook the marinated pork until it’s fall-off-the-fork tender, but we can promise you – the results are so worth it.

Vibrant and refreshing, our Lemon Sponge Traybake matches up nicely with the sunny colour scheme of this year’s contest. A sweet treat you can make for many, you’ll get at least 16 spongey squares from one tray – plenty to keep the party going!

Don’t be fooled by how light and airy these slices look; thanks to our tantalisingly tangy lemon curd topping, they pack a surprising punch.

It wouldn’t be a celebration without chocolate! An easy-peasy light bite you can rustle up without a fuss, it’s well worth giving our Chocolate Swirls a whirl. You only need two ingredients to put these magical pastry delights together.

Unlike shop-bought versions, our chocolatey filling is wrapped up in ready-rolled light puff pastry, to lower the calories without compromising on crispy perfection.

Show-stealing Eurovision dinners

Whether you’re the host or a guest at a Eurovision shindig, it’s a fun tradition to try and get in the spirit with flavours from the countries in the contest. A showstopping sharer, we’re more than happy to cheer for Italy if it means Tear and Share Cheesy Garlic Dough Balls are on the menu.

They’re loaded with a garlicky, gooey mozzarella middle that looks and tastes just like you’ve ordered from a restaurant. Put them out and watch how fast everyone flocks for a bite!

If you’ve drawn the straw to bring a Greek-inspired plate, why not serve up our Minty Halloumi and Vegetable Kebabs? We’ve threaded together everyone’s favourite squeaky cheese with plenty of colourful, Mediterranean-inspired veggies.

Drizzled in a zingy, minty homemade dressing, they’re tasty and filling enough to see you through to the final act.

There’s no chance of scoring nil points with our Chicken Kyiv Pasta Bake at the centre of the table. A nod to the dish refined in Ukraine’s capital city, we’ve borrowed all of the best flavours from our Chicken Kyivs to make this instant family favourite.

An irresistible combination of chicken, mushroom, leek and pasta in a silky garlic-infused sauce, we’ve topped it all off with a layer of gloriously golden breadcrumbs. Who can say no to that?

If we’re handing out points for being fuss-free, our Spanish Rice ranks close to the top. Easy, wholesome comfort food, we’ve used smoked paprika and chorizo to add bags of Spanish-inspired flavour.

Best of all, you can make it all in one pot – so there’s far less chance of being cooped up in the kitchen missing your favourite song.

Fun Eurovision puddings

Nothing says ‘Eurovision fun’ quite like a tipple-inspired pudding. With our Espresso Martini Trifle to pick you up, there’s no danger of falling asleep before the winners are announced.

It calls for layers of boozy coffee jelly, chocolatey yoghurt and sweetened, low-fat cream, all topped off with time-saving readymade brownie chunks.

They’re so impressive for minimum effort, at just 284 calories per serving!

It’s not Eurovision without Ireland, so we’re raising a toast with the ultimate Irish liqueur based pud: Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Pots. With a delectable Baileys-infused cheesecake centre, only grown-ups are allowed to tuck their spoons into the crunchy, crushed double-chocolate topping.

If you don’t have ramekins to serve them in individual-sized pots, there’s nothing to stop you rustling up a single, family-sized showstopper instead. You can find the full recipe on pages 228-229 of Pinch of Nom: Quick and Easy.

Whether you prepare them with or without alcohol, our Strawberry Mojito Jellies will finish your party in style. Our recipe uses white rum to give each fruity jelly pot an adults-only twist – you can always add more, if you’d like them even stronger!

Using a short list of simple, slimming-friendly ingredients, you can have them prepped in under 10 minutes. Leave them to set overnight so that they’re ready to celebrate when you are.

Refreshing Eurovision tipples

It’s no secret that we love making slimming-friendly cocktails. Eurovision is the best excuse to crack out the serving jug, especially if our Pink Sangria is inside! A sparkling pink creation, there’s no doubt it’ll catch everybody’s eye.

To make our beautiful beverage lower in calories without spoiling the fun, we’ve combined fresh fruits with Peach Schnapps and sparkling water. For similar summery deliciousness, skip the alcohol and make Pink Lemonade instead.

You can’t say ‘cocktail’ without mentioning Elderflower Gin Fizz. One of our all-time favourite boozy creations, we’ve recreated floral, fizzy deliciousness by mixing Prosecco with gin and sugar-free elderflower syrup.

Add blueberries or raspberries, if you’re feeling extra fancy (just be sure to adjust the calories, if you’re counting!).

With a stash of Strawberry Daiquiri in the freezer, you’re already part of the way towards getting any party started. A gorgeous blend of juicy strawberries, Bacardi and lime, you’d never know each slushie serving comes in as light as 84 calories per tall glass.

There’s no such thing as too much with Eurovision! Why not crack out the martini glasses?
